Dogs, cats, and poultry may roam where they want. All cows and horses are in the same pasture. Sheep are in a barn along with goats, away from the cattle, whom they can make sick. Steers and market heifers are in a feedlot with short green grass and the lot is mucked nightly. Horses are returned to stalls nightly. Plow horses are allowed to stay out. Chickens need to be locked up at night, either this or they are at risk. The dogs have their own small houses next to the cow/horse pasture. Show cattle, who are not yet retired, are in stalls by day with fans in summer and are let out at night. This is the opposite in the Winter. Horses, unretired show cattle, goats, and sheep, are to be washed daily, preferably twice a day for cattle. And that's kinda how things run! This roleplay is taking place a week before Christmas.
