Chapter 2

When the bell rang for second period to end I waited patiently at my desk, my leg shaking  and my eyes glued to the door. Damn it why did she have to be a student, and on top of that a human. Not saying she isn't perfect the way she is...just she doesn't know about mates or supernatural beings. I'm going to have to work at this, go slow.

Finally she walked in with Jade from my homeroom, I'm guessing her best friend with a big smile on her beautiful face. Her smile was contagious, I wish I could be the one making her smile and laugh, one day I will be.

Her and Jade went to the same seats they sat in during homeroom, all the way in the back. Thankfully she was close to my desk but when I was teaching she would be the furthest away.

When the bell rang everyone quieted down and took there seats if they weren't in them already. I introduced myself and welcomed them to senior year and third period AP English occasionally stealing glances at Rose. I stayed seated at my desk this time. It was to hard to resist the urge to go walk over to her when I was sanding....plus I had a tight feeling in my pants that I knew she was causing. She would always look away when I glanced over at her, pretending like she had no idea but I wanted to see her beautiful eyes staring into mine.

I went back to my seat and told all the kids to look through the paperwork and fill out what they could for now. After about ten minutes everyone seemed to have finished we had fifteen minutes left in class so everyone started talking to there new classmates.

But when I looked up at Rose this time some guy was talking to her. He had dirty blonde almost brown hair from my enhanced eyesight I saw he had green eyes with a scar right above his eyebrow, he had tan skin and he was tall, I could still beat his ass. I focused all my hearing on there conversation, I don't care about any of these other gossip groups I just needed to know what the hell he was saying to my mate.

"Hi I'm Scott"

"Oh hi I'm Rose" she stuck out her hand to shake his. My hands coiled into firsts, my knuckles turning white from the forcefulness of my grip. I don't want any male touching or talking to my mate, especially since I haven't claimed her as mine.

They shook hands and he stared at her a little longer than necessary she blushed under his gaze, when he said "You're cute when you blush"

She looked at him wide eyed, like she had never heard someone say that to her, then she said "Thank you"

"So what other classes do you have?" He asked her leaning over to look at her schedule. She picked it up holding it up so he could see "damn we only have this class together, I was really hoping we could get to know each other"

"Yeah that's to bad, but at least we have one" she told him giving him a warm smile

He laughs "true...hey I was wondering if maybe I could get your number? You know if I ever need help with this class, you look like you'd be great at English" he charms her with a smirk

A low inaudible growl erupts from my chest and I catch the girl, Jade, starring at me with a mysterious knowing gleam in her eyes.

"Oh yeah sure, and thank you, I do like English a lot, I'm so much better in this class than any other. Math is my worst subject, I hate it with a passion. I just had it first period and I can tell it's not going to be a good year in that class" she laughs a little

"Seriously! I love math, what math are you in?"

"Calculus"

"Oh I took that last year I got A's" he boasts, what an annoying prick "how about this, I'll help you with math and you help me with English" he smirks, god I want to punch him in the face.

"Deal" she smiles and begins to write her phone number on a piece of paper.

I can't handle this, when I was about to yell at the kid to move to a different seat the loud sound of the bell rang letting everyone know third period was over. What? No she just got in here I don't want her to leave, not yet.

Everyone packs up there stuff and begins to head out of the door, Rose tells the guy she will just give him her number tomorrow, yeah hell no not if I can help it. She begins to walk with Jade about to walk out the door but I couldn't help myself

"Rose?" I call out to her, she turns around our eyes meeting, making a tingling feeling rolling down my body "may I speak to you for a minute" she turns back to Jade, Jade nods and says
"I'll wait for you outside ok?" She walks out and Rose comes to my desk.

Shit shit shit what am I going to say. I didn't think this through.

"Yes Mr.Williams?"

Rose's POV
"Yes Mr.Williams?" I ask I don't know why he called me over I need to get to class.

"Um right well I just wanted to say.... uh..." he stumbles over his words, but then pops up like he has and idea "don't forget your detention this afternoon."

"Yes sir, you already told me that..." I trail off

"Yes... and also you were being very...disruptive" he says it with vermin in his tone "during class today with that boy."

"Oh I'm sorry" this is so embarrassing "I didn't mean to it won't happen again." I tell him, I don't get it plenty of people were talking...I really can't tell if he hates me or not

"Good, I'll see you this afternoon Rose." He looks down at his desk and starts to write something without another word

"Ok" I frown, oh my god he hates me "bye" I say quietly, I look up at the clock and wince at the time, I have two minutes to get to my next class and it's the gym, which is four buildings over, gosh I am going to be late all day today.

I start walking to the door when I feel a hand wrap around my arm, shooting electricity through me and causing the hairs in the back of my neck to stand. He pulls me around so I'm facing him, our faces inches apart. My heart rate way to high to be healthy.

His bright blue eyes staring into mine but slowly they lowers to my lips. I stand there stunned I don't know what to do, I want to kiss him...badly but I can't he's my teacher but I just feel the need to be around him. Our torsos were touching, his warmth radiating off of him. I breathed in, he smelt like mint and hard core man, a mix of fresh air and pine trees. All I wanted to do was breath in and capture as much of the addicting smell as possible.

He released my arm and backed away like he was trying to control himself, but from what?

"I can give you a pass, I don't want you to be late."

"Oh" I say trying to bring my heart rate back to normal, I stand up straight and back away from him "ok thank you" he walks over to his desk and asks

"What's your next class?" I tell him gym and he writes up a pass for me.

"Thanks" I say and turn around to leave, Mr. Williams still standing at the front of the class when I realize he has no kids in his class I ask "Mr.Williams where are all your students?"

"This is my planning period" he tells me. Wow Rose smooth, duh it's his planning period way to ask the dumbest question ever. Then I walk out and head to the gym, forcing myself not to think about those damn blue eyes.

So these first couple of chapters will mainly be introducing the characters and giving a little of a back story so stay tuned, I know they might be a little of a bore but it gets better
