Chapter 19

Without waiting for Kleng's response, Manawut was running to his son's chamber, which his wife might be there to accompany his son. Once he pushed open the door of his son's chamber, he was shocked to see Adisak he trusted and the best beta was holding his crying wife with a pointing knife on her neck with his own sister-in-law, standing right beside his unconscious son who was lying on the floor, shirtless.

The other helpers were all lying unconscious for a reason he didn't know. "Why are you doing this Peraya? She is your own sister and Copter was your own nephew!" Manawut was screaming, for he felt useless. He couldn't do anything despite being the king. Looking straight on Peraya, he could see the difference in her appearance that was screaming all dark. Was she a dark witches all this time and he couldn't smell it?

"So what if she is my sister when she had everything since we were small. All the good things went to her when I only deserved her leftovers. Why would I deserved her leftovers when obviously I was better than her. Don't you think you could take another step. If you do, I wouldn't hesitate to make him put the knife inside her throat and this son of your lying here lifeless." Peraya was talking while taking a gold cup from the side cabinet. It wasn't there before, it must have been hers then.

"Stop all this nonsense Peraya! Don't hurt them!" He hates to admit, but he couldn't take any step closer, afraid she would do what she implying just now. Manawut loves his wife and his son more than anything.

But then, he saw Peraya was moving her hands and not long after that, something was coming out from her fingertips, some pointing lights that was heading to Copter's who was lying on the floor and those lights was wrapped around Copter's torso and it lifted Copter's body slowly until Copter's body floating at a waist level.

Suddenly using a knife that Manawut wasn't sure from where, it might be from her long black dress, Peraya was stabbing it right on the side of Copter's stomach, drawing blood from it flowing right into the cup that was already on her other hand.

"No!!!!" Seeing the stab, Manawut and Riana had shouted at the same time. Manawut was charging to her but then he was holding down by beta Adisak face down the floor. Tilting his head, only he could see, Adisak had stabbed her wife straight at her heart before coming to him. He was screaming his heart out for the things befall his loved ones and how useless he was that he failed to protect them.

"Honey, please.... save..... our son." That was Riana's last words before she lied there breathless, making tears wont stop flowing down MAnawut's eyes and that all he could do was screaming. He turned to Peraya who was currently drinking the blood of Copter from the cup she was holding.

Copter was already on the floor once again, with all the wounds on his stomach. He could see his son stir with a low groan. "Cop, son, please, hang on." Manawut was wiggle from under the hard hold of Adisak.

Sometime later, Peraya's kneeling on the floor, her cup was loose from her hold make it falling on the floor with a loud thud. Her face was contorted, with some of Copter's blood was on her side of her mouth, for the changes she wished for taking place. She then was looking up with her hands spread on her side that she was screaming her heart out when she could feel enormous power was spreading in her every veins, shooting out blinding light in the air.

The screaming and the blinding light was taking Adisak off-guard, which Manawut had taking the chances and was transformed to his half wolves and half-human form. Jumping to where Copter was and taking him in his hold only with one arm and was running away from the closest window he could jump off.

He was landing with one hand on every wall and floor he landed while holding on Copter. He was running fast deep inside the woods, running as far as possible from everyone, since he couldn't trust anyone as of now. Dark witches were scary because of that very reason. She could influence others just using dark spell without even having to persuade others or something like that.

Manawut had found a big hole hidden under a big tree, that make it looks like a dark cave, a perfect spot to hide. Once he was sure no one was following them, Manawut had slowly putting wounded Copter down, lying on the ground.

Only then Manawut could saw his son was crying hard silently making him cried too. Still in his half-human half-wolves form, Manawut pulled his son inside his embrace. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." All he could say.

However it wasn't long when Manawut could heard some noises outside. He didn't know how they do it, but they were already here. Putting Copter back down on the floor he transformed to his ultimate wolf form and making his stance, covering Copter behind him. Not before making Copter took the pill given by Kleng for emergency purpose. It was something to protect Copter's wolves, he said.
