Chapter 52

Adriana's POV:

I woke up at 5:00 am and went straight to shower. Afterwards I brushed my teeth and got dressed. Since I no long had to wear uniform I put on a white long sleeve turtleneck with a sweater vest and black jeans to cover the scars I have. I took a bunch of pain killers and went downstairs after I slipped on my air forces

I didn't get the chance to charge my phone and I knew Alessandro would bitch so I went to the twins to asked for a portable charger. They were already awake and packing their football gear in their duffel bag.

"It's Monday why do you have your football stuff?" I asked

"We have an emergency practice today after school."

Great now I have to walk with my football, judo, and gymnastics stuff

"I'll grab my gear too then. I came in here to see if you guys have a portable. I didn't charge my phone and it's at 19%."

"Ours broke." Xander responded and I cursed under my breath

"Holy shit what happened to your face?" I asked as I finally looked at him

"Oh it's nothing. I got in a fight at a party I went to last night. You should've seen the other guy." He said cockily

"Well in that case, be careful. Anyways, it's almost 7 so I'm gonna head on out. See you at school!" I was going to walk away when Xander started talking

"Hey you sure you shouldn't be playing football after everything that happened." he sounded concerned

"I'm good Xander." I waved him off

"Let us drive you. It's gonna rain." Xavier offered

"I'll take an umbrella, also I know you guys think a lot happened while I was at Garcia but I'm fine."

"No you're not." Xander pushed

"Stop acting so weird!" With that I went to my room to grab my gear. I also packed my judo gi and my gymnastics practice clothes. Afterwards I headed for the door

I walked out and felt immediately grateful it wasn't hot it felt like 60 degrees. It was windy and thanks to the clouds the sun wasn't in sight.

The walk to school was tranquil. When I arrived all my friends ran and gave me a hug. The cheerleaders basically tackled me when they saw me. This girl who I never saw before rolled her eyes at me. I found it weird but I don't care enough to ask.

"Ah Adriana I'm glad you're back. Your teachers told me you completed all of your work perfectly!"

"Yeah I got back Saturday so I completed my late work."

"Good, well this is our new student Riley. I was wondering if you'd be fine with being her guide for the day. Just walk her to and from class all day." I nodded

"Good here's her schedule!"

"Hi Riley I'm Adriana it's nice to meet you!"

"Let's just get this over with." she said while rolling her eyes

"Yeah lets," we walked upstairs to her class then I left

I was let out of every class 5 minutes early to meet the new bitch. All of my teachers were ecstatic to see me back which felt nice. It's 4th period and we're walking down the hallway and I see Xander, Xavier, Dante, Luca, and Marco

"Hey guys!" I say in a good mood

"Hey X2, what are you doing with her?" Dante asks

"I'm showing her around for today."

They nod

"We'll see you around then."

I smiled and waved

"X2?" she asked confused

"The football team calls me that and Xander is X1. It's honestly stupid but I don't mind it anymore."

She laughed

"God you're so dumb! That's not a compliment. They're probably making fun of the cheerleader who's obsessed with the quarterback."

"Wow, none of that was true." I laugh back at her

"Yes, it is. I know your type. The easy cheerleaders obsessed with the Captain of the football team. Trust me you don't have a shot with Xander or any of those boys. They don't want some rich girl who's never struggled a day in her life." she said mad

"You don't know anything about me or the boys new girl. So I suggest you watch your tone because the only reason I haven't kIckes your ass for disrespecting me is because you're new. Don't mistake my generosity for weakness... this is your class bye." I walked off pissed

The rest of the day went by quick Riley didn't talk much besides making sly comments.

Then school finally ended

"Well bye I have practice and I don't like you in the slightest." I said banal

"Aw it's cute you think I care. Anyways I'd like to sit in on practice." she says with a fake smile

"Knock yourself out I'm gonna go change then head to the field."

I went to the locker room and changed. I also filled the girl's in on Riley

"What a bitch!" Ally deadpanned

"A stupid one at that you're the farthest thing from a cheerleader." Maddie said laughing

"I know right. Well time for me to head out I don't wanna run extra drills for being late."

I ran to the center of the field dressed up and ready to go

"Now that Adriana is back I want Dylan and Xander to fill her in on the new strategies and practice them. Afterwards I want you three to practice interceptions and your hail marry." we nod and get to it

My other injuries don't hurt compare to my wrists. They took the most damage at Garcia's.  The bullets Xander was throwing weren't helping either.

After practice my arms and hands were killing me but I didn't wanna worry anyone, so I kept it to myself. After I got changed I walked to the boys

"Can you take my football stuff? It's a lot to walk with." I asked Xavier he was going to respond but Riley spoke first

"I mean you got it here so get it home yourself." she rolled her eyes

"Riley stop being mean to X2."

"It's fine I'll carry it. I don't trust my stuff around a cunt like her." I said as I walked away.

I also ignored them calling my name
