Thicker than blood (Revamp)

When we got out to the clearing we were greeted by Dwight like usual. He was part of the original four people in this group so he's sort of an impromptu leader. He's a calm dude but the moment a trial starts he becomes the biggest baby you can imagine, it's funny how quickly he changes but whatever helps you survive I guess.

Dwight "There you guys are, was it a tough trial? Adam told me a bit about the trial so I just need you guys to tell me about anything important."

Y/N "Nothing out of the ordinary, sorry."

Dwight and a few others have been keeping tabs on all of the trials to see if we can learn anything new. It's helped us out a lot because now we have a detailed list of all the killers and what they can do, how fast they move, their height, you name it we have it written down.

Ace "Yeah, besides Bill's usual hero moment thing, nothing interesting happened."

Dwight "That's a shame, but I guess when you know so much it's hard to learn more. Just tell me when you learn something new alright?" As he says that he walks away and I go to get some rest before the next match. As I got to sit down Claudette walks up to me.

Claudette "Hey, everything alright? I wanted to check up on you ever since the last trial when I had to treat you after what Wraith did to you."

Y/N "I'm fine, thanks for that by the way."

Claudette "No problem, can't have you dying before the trial begins now can we."

Claudette was another of the original four and she's become our team medic. She's good at it too, which is surprising because she was just a botanist. I can't be complaining though cause it works so I don't care if it should or not.

Andrew "hey Y/N, how have you been?" I turned around and saw Andrew walking towards me waving with a huge smile.

Y/N "Wondering when you would appear, what's with the smile?"

Andrew "Why? Is it illegal to see my best friend after dying?"

Andrew and I were taken at the same time. He says he was brought here in 1972 while working as a camp counselor somewhere in Cunningham County, New Jersey. He kept talking about how he ended up surviving an unstoppable killer in a hockey mask only to be brought here. That's just a slap in the face but it just means he had more experience than me so whatever.

Y/N "Never was, but that face is much more than an "I'm happy to see a friend" face so what is it now"

Andrew "Okay you caught me, I do have something in mind but your never gonna believe me so I tried to ease it in but I guess I just have to let it all out."

Y/N "I will believe anything you say because there is no way it can make less sense than this place."

Andrew: "Okay so I've been reading the killer almanac and I have a theory. It's incredibly stupid but what if we can talk to some of the killers? Like, have a conversation without dying."

Y/N "Wow. I think you got hit in the head too hard. Claudette's over there if you want to go get that checked out."

Andrew "Just listen to me okay, one of the killers has this weird thing about her and it's a common enough thing to make me think this way alright. Just hear me out."

Y/N "Alright fine, I'll hear you out, and after we're getting your head checked out cause there is no way you're thinking straight."

Andrew "I'm telling you that's not necessary but whatever. So when I was reading through the killer almanac I was reading through the Spirit's side notes and then I found that she switches through some personalities or something. At some moments she'll be as angry as any other killer but sometimes people say they can hear her crying. This makes me think, what if she doesn't want to do this or something. Like she's done this for too long and she wants out."

Y/N "That does sound weird but at the same time you can't just risk it all on some random, stupid guess."

Andrew "Isn't that what science is about though? Having stupid guesses and just seeing if they work. If you think it's stupid then that's fine, I'll let it go, but I'm going to go see if this applies to any other killers. Call me over when you realize I'm right okay?" He then walked back to where he was before.

He made a good point there, I can't argue with that, but having a conversation with one of those killers is insane. I don't even think half of them can talk, let alone want to not kill me instantly. But there is no other way to know to go for it, besides hats the worst that can happen? I die? Like that wouldn't happen already.

Y/N "Hey Andrew come here." He turned around and met my gaze with a shit-eating grin. God, I'm going to regret this.

Andrew "Geez I wasn't expecting you to call me back over, so what say you huh?"

Y/N "Listen hear okay, I still think this is incredibly stupid but I also think that there isn't a reason to not test it out. I'll be doing it though since you're just going to try to get into her pants...rags? look that doesn't matter point is I don't trust you to do it okay."

Andrew "First off I am incredibly offended you knew exactly what I was thinking of and secondly thanks for helping me. You were the only one I could tell this to and not be called insane."

Y/N "Oh no you're still insane, I'm just as mad as you though so it evens out."

A siren blares throughout the whole forest, telling us that a trial is starting and that Andrew's dumb plan is starting already.

Andrew "Welp, tell me how it goes when you go at it champ. See you on the other side."

Y/N "See you later Andrew."

And with those words said, we walk into the darkness ready for what this realm holds for us next.
