Cuddling

   You sigh as you enter your quarters, it had been quite a long day. You grab a drink from the replicator and announce,

" Hey Data, i'm home. " Half expecting to be greeted with silence, since the android had his own duties and usually didn't spend his free time in your shared room.

"Y/N, i'm in here " You heard Data call back. You smiled as you made your way to the bedroom to see Data lying on the bed with Spot in his arms.

" Hey, Data. How was your day? " You ask, taking off your shoes and getting undressed.

" My day was normal, although Spot seems to be eating less. " He said, a hint of confusion and what you thought to be concern playing on his attractive robotic features.

" He probably just wasn't as hungry, but we can get Dr. Crusher to check up on him tomorrow. " You say, lying down beside him in your night clothes and pressing a soft kiss to his lips.

" Y/N? " He said softly before looking into your eyes.

" Yes, Data? " You say with a small comfortable smile.

" Do you think we could just cuddle tonight? I read that cuddling is very comforting. " He said, putting Spot on the ground before turning to face you again. You smiled as he lied down beside you again.

" That would be wonderful. " You say, as you hug his robotic frame that you've come to love and drifted off to sleep.
