Her eyes were like ice
She would say they were gray
And put on her sunglasses
To make hurt go awayShe didn't like smiling
Nor laughing or hugs
Just as if it reminded her
Of something she lostThe days she felt sad
I knew she would cry
Because I saw her eyes
They turned glassier each timeBut I want her to know
She's not alone anymore
That now she has me
And I'll never be gone.
