How can I tell apart
a person who actually has
2 faces instead of one?
They're so difficult to expose,
so difficult to not believe,
that sometimes they'll fool you
to make you feel relieved.
You'll even learn to tell them,
every single secret
but just prepare yourself to discover
that it's blowing up on the internet.
They will fool you again,
to make you forgive them
and turn back time,
to save all their innocence.
You'll forgive and forgive
but you'll soon get tired of it
tired of the person,
you insisted to once believe.
You will stand up straight
and tell them to stop.
To stop trying to act,
like a victim who never lost.
You will speak loud and clear
the words pounding from your heart
to make that person know that,
they hurt you more than once.
But I beg you to not cry over it.
It wouldn't be okay
for you to cry over a broken mold,
who decided to fix itself with scotch tape.
