For the next few days, Hell watched me from a distance, like I had a disease. I saw him and Betty, he whispered things into Bettys ‘ear, she would pull out a notebook, look me in the eyes and then wrote it down. I heard her come in at night, opening my door and sitting on my bed. She touches my hair, or my face, at one point I felt a tear fall onto my shoulder. I basically ignored her, not wanting him to know she was visiting me or he might hurt her again. After my week suspension was over, I walking into the school with my head high, but as I walked pass people would lean and whisper about me, looking at me with wide eyes.
A boy my age walked up to me, he was wearing a stripped white and pink t-shirt and a pair of jeans. He placed a hand on my shoulder and I whipped around.
“Hey…” He said shyly. “I, I heard about you’re… um you’re…” He started to back up and turned around running away in tears.
“What the heck” I yelled.
Everyone suddenly disappeared from the hallway and I appeared in a dirty hall way
The hallway was dark, covered in mud and slime. Down the slim hallway, there was a large metal door. There was light coming from under it. I slowing approached it. The door was slightly open. I pushed at the door with shaky hands.
Inside, there was a desk and tones of picture frames. It was the room that I saw when I was in the hospital so long ago. I felt a sudden pain in my back. I screamed in pain, I heard the metal door slide shut.
Hell stepped out of the shadows. The pain released from my back and I jumped up.
“Why am I here? Is this a dream?” I muffled. “No, this is real. I have finally be able to take you from your surroundings… you are going to be mine soon… I know Betty had told you the whole story, but I bet she didn’t tell the real way I check my victims…” He smiled. “What do you mean!? Why am I here?” I asked again. “YOU are here because it is almost your time, I will take you soon enough… It will be out of the blue… Your aunt can live, but you will not.” He shook his head. “Why did you kill my grandmother?” I screamed. “Stop shouting… I didn’t that was Mother Nature… my ex-wife has to do what she has to…” He smile grew larger as I started to see dots again. “Stop, stop it… NO STOP Please!” I yelled, collapsing on the hard floor. “Stop shouting!” He screamed. “BETTY! Take this child home! I want her gone! Alisandra, remember I will always be watching you… 13 hours…” His words blurred as I felt Betty’s small arms lift me up.
I woke up in the school nurses office. My friends worried faces all around me.
“Hey guys, whats wrong? Why am I here?” I said shaking my head, feeling the bandage in my forehead. “OMG Ali, you’re okay!” They all said. “You collapsed in the hallway and we brought you here.” They added.
“Oh…”
The passed on quickly, I kept reviewing what Hell had said, “13 hours…” TILL WHAT?
