The sunlight gleamed through the open glass doors of the balcony. . . Moon Lumos leaned on the simple white fence, amethyst eyes gazing to the peachy hue of the horizon. The silhouettes of buildings dashed the sky in the distance, the summer sun beaming through the clouds to strike Leo City. . .
"Hey kid! You awake?" The voice of Clover Sade broke through the door of his room.
"I'm up, ma'am." The Dark Angel replied, turning back and returning to his newly decorated dorm.
Aside from the standard bedroom items such as a bed, closet, and laundry basket, there was a bathroom beyond a black door and a desk residing in the corner of the room. Books, school supplies, and a laptop were already neatly placed atop it. . . along with a collection of manga. A few posters of those series were placed across the walls, the wall behind his bed holding none. In their place was a painting on a canvas, a golden fairy laid atop a violet crescent moon, shooting stars flying across the night sky. . .
The room's occupant took a moment to change out of his loose long-sleeve and shorts, replacing them with black denim and a mauve t-shirt. The fifteen year old slipped on his long and dark blazer and knelt to tie the violet laces of his shoes before reaching for the knob of the door. . . ready to begin a new life.

Surrounded on all sides by enormous walls and a golden gate was the royal palace known as Leo City High School. . . Regal golds and yellows decorated the glowing structure, five towers rising from the base of the castle. Silvers and whites dashed the interior, the theater, stadium, gymnasium, classrooms, hallways, and even the closets were beautifully crafted to show off the riches of the school.
The luxury wasn't just for show, but a reward for those who attended one of the most prestigious academies in the world. Regardless of class, of race, gender, and the likes, only the best of the best were allowed entry, the greatest minds in the world. There was only one exception. . . Those with Verities. Should they desire, the one in a million children born with gifts could attend Leo High. . . where they were trained to become the next Stars, the protectors of humanity.
By no means did that give them a free ticket to success. If anything, those with Verities struggled far more than the "ordinary" students, their training compounded onto their studies. But of course. . . there were always outliers.

The Principal's Office was surprisingly one of the least luxurious places in the castle. It was small, quite disorganized, and a bit run down, thought it was still brightly colored.
"Uh, apologies for the mess." A nervous laugh came from the principal himself, the "ruler" of the palace. . . Lionel Leo.
Moon Lumos and Clover Sade stood before a man who was clearly inexperienced in this field but seemed to be trying his best. The king of the castle was dressed in a simple black suit, the vest undone and wrinkled, revealing a white shirt with an orange flame printed onto its chest. His general unprofessionalism was further accentuated by the mess of long and curly orange locks atop his head, a few strands dropping down over his dark skin and reaching as far as his chin. A pair of tired, yet lively magma red eyes met his guests.
"It's no problem, Mr. . .? " The green haired woman tilted her head, taking in the principal's appearance. She had to admit. . . Despite the disorderly attire, he was a looker.
"Just Leo's fine." Lionel chuckled, deciding to keep a little professionalism. Though, a bead of sweat dropped down his cheek. "Holy Hell, she's gorgeous. . ."
"Well, I'm Clover Sade." Tearing her gaze away from the man and to her charge. "Go on kid, introduce yourself." He did just that, the fifteen year old bowing his head respectfully.
"I'm Moon Lumos. . . I don't think I can thank you enough for giving me this chance." The Dark Angel mumbled shyly, but his gratitude was more than clear.
"Hey, don't look at me. You're the one that smacked around our entrance exam. You're a genius, you made it here on your own merit." The principal assured him with a smile, the boy blushing at the praise.
"Thank you." His new student murmured, the aura exuded by the man in front of him putting him at ease.
"Now, I'm guessing you're here for your uniform and schedule, right?" Leo asked rhetorically, reaching below his desk and placing both items atop it.
"Hit the nail on the head. Anything else we need?" Clover wondered with a quirked brow, the palace's ruler humming for a moment and then snapping his fingers.
"Student ID! That's probably important." He laughed, searching through his cabinets frantically for the trinket. "Yeah. . . about that."
"I-It's okay! I'm sure I'll figure something out." The ravennette said incredulously, laughing off the mistake. A sigh left the grown man's mouth.
"Geez, I need to get back onto things. Don't worry, I'll have it made when you start up tomorrow. Ready for the big day?" Lionel met Moon's amethyst eyes, the teen freezing for a moment before steeling, filling with an unbreakable resolve.
     "Yes, I'm ready. . ."
". . . Well then, Welcome to Leo High, Mr. Lumos."
