Let me explain how I got the inspiration for the story.

One of the book clubs I'm in started a sentence prompt contest in which you'll pick one of the sentences given and develop it into a short story.

I picked

“It is time.” Came a deep voice from underneath the hood of a black cloak

That was the sentence I picked and it gave me the inspiration to write this short story.
