Summary:
Han is a mage gifted with the powers of a gorilla. He works for the Mage Collective, a group made up of all kinds of magic-users that have banded together to maintain the balance of good and evil in the world, battling the forces of darkness that most people don't even know exist. Vampires, demons, witches, all and everything in between.
When Han gets injured by a witch during a routine night of patrol, he is saddled with a new mission: befriend Sydney, a girl who just moved into their city. Her arrival coincided with the detection of a mysterious spike in the amount of magic in the area. Han now finds himself having to go back to high school to spy on Sydney, which is the last thing he wants or needs to do. Especially when the Collective's largest threat, the evil mastermind Alec Orsini, is still at large with no leads to find or stop him.
Han quickly gets in over his head in more ways than one when he begins to discover that there's much more to Sydney than meets the eye, and she might come to mean more to him than he bargained for.
