Vol 2 Part 1

Edel looked at the pond in the center, that ran under the bridge was frozen over, the lily pads that usually lie on the surface, he had taken out to save them.

Edel looked down at his watch, and his eyes widened, as it buzzed. He looked around, and then dropped a lily pad on the ground, sitting up from his spot.

As Edel ran back to his house, he jumped and hit the roof with his hand, causing snow to fall onto his head. He opened the doors, and ran to the bed. He grabbed one of the floorboards, and lifted it up, revealing a hidden Scroll.

Edel took it out and revealed the message form (Y/N).

(Y/N): Are you there?

Edel: Yeah.

(Y/N): Good.

Edel: Why?

(Y/N): I'm going to need you to open the side door we made.

Edel: Okay. Is Neo there as well?

(Y/N): Yep, hurry!

Edel ran over to the hidden door that (Y/N), Neo, and he had constructed. It was a hidden door in the wall that lay around his house. The walls had blue lights that lie on the bottom, once night came, but this specific wall had none.

He pressed a hidden button on it, and it released, allowing him to push open the door with help from the other side.

They helped him open, and quickly got in the walls, as he closed the doors. Edel looked at them, Neo of course looked perfect, but that was because of her semblance. (Y/N) on the other hand had a jacket on, and one of the arms were torn off.

Edel quickly ran up to him, and got the jacket off of him. (Y/N) let him, and Edel ran over to his house putting it in the dirty clothes that went through the walls, given to someone on the other side who would clean and fix it.

Edel felt overprotective of them, being years older than even Neo, and it did feel silly sometimes when it came out.

Edel then ran back to Neo and (Y/N) who were signing to each other. They had decided to do that, so in case someone was listening, they wouldn't hear them. Edel knew where the cameras were, and so they could hide from them.

(Y/N): Hi Edel.

Neo: Hello again.

Edel: Hi (Y/N), hi Neo. Why are you guys here?

(Y/N): Neo wanted to see you, and we were in the area.

Neo smacked (Y/N) and then looked back at Edel.

Neo: We were running away from the soldiers, and we thought to come here.

Edel: Yeah, the soldiers aren't nice. I went to look for you earlier this month, and the soldiers dragged me back here when they found me.

(Y/N): What were you doing? You can't fight.

Edel: Yes I can. 

Neo: Since when?

Edel: I'm way older than the both of you and I'm not all brains, I'm a fighter. 

(Y/N): You're an actor.

It was true. His father and mother had stopped him from every training in combat, and so he turned to studying people. At the Council meetings and other functions, Edel would study people, learning their every move.

The leaders of the functions acted one way, the servants acted another, boys acted one way, and girls acted another way. Spending his entire life, besides these events, in his prison led him to not know how people acted. He had to study to blend in.
