Part 17

ADELLE

I'm sitting on a toilet bowls, waiting for the results to come. I tap both my hands on my thighs as nervousness kick in , my anxiety grow even more for each seconds.

After five minutes, now I have the courage to look into that pregnancy kits, with my trembling finger, I flipped it and here it comes...

Positive..

Oh my god!, I close my mouth with my palm, my shocking gasps can be heard outside the bathroom door. I try to hide my sob that threaten to come.

" So, how is it?" My sister Mandy asked from the other side of the door.
I blink for a few times to see if it correct, but the two lines seems to not even reduce to one line. I run my finger through my hair as stress flooded my mind, how could this happened?, It is even possible to be pregnant from the first intercourse? How could I be so stupid! I said between my sob. I open the bathroom door to let Mandy inside.

She came and immediately giving me hug. She knew what the results is based on my reaction.
" It's okay Adelle, we gonna through this together" she said while patted my back with her palm.

My dad come to us and look at me. His face clearly shows disappoinment towards me.

After Mandy calmed me down, she hand me a glass of water to drink. An awkward silence fills the room. Non of us speak until I break the silence.

" H..how I'm going to tell mom?" I said.

Dad suddenly stand up from the couch and walked to me. He cupped my face and said something.

" It's not your fault, Adelle. It already done, but we are going to raise this baby together, I will be the best grandpa for my grandchildren, as for mom we going to tell her together, I won't let you face this alone" he said with a smile.

I smile back, hugging him. " Thank you dad, I don't know how I'm going to go through this without you, Mandy and Mom" I said whilst my eyes begin to water again.

" Aww, I want a hug too" Mandy said while walking to us giving us the biggest hugs ever. We both laugh at how's childish Mandy's look just now.
After a while, I feel good to actually smile again. It felt good to be around people that you loves the most.

This past weeks, I finally escaped from his grasp. Even though it's quite hard to hide because I know he is searching for me.

Throwback...

A white hi-lux has been waiting for me outside the condo, with my hoods covering my face, I managed to walk past the receptionist and the guards.

The car a little bit far from the entrance and I jogs towards the car. Looking around to make sure no one saw me, I opened the car door and got inside.

" Go" I instructed the drivers to drive.
" Did you bring your passport,?" He said. I responded with a yes.

"Dad, I know it you" I said.

"Yeah, let me wear this beard and sunglasses for a while, we are not safe yet," he said. " Wear this," he hand me a bag with a wig and makeup.

" Put this on for precautions". I immediately obeyed him.

We arrived at the airport, after he parked the car, he calls someone to pick it up.

" Throw away your phone's, " he said to me.

I rummage through my bag but there are no phone inside. Ouh shit!
" Dad, I forgot my phone" I said worrying. " Doesn't matter, it's good that you left it there, but have you deleted our messages?"

" Yes, I did but I didn't delete your latest call..." I bites my lips, how can I forgot to delete that as well.

"It's okay, he going to look for me too anyway.. let's go"

We walked to the airport entrance.
" But dad, how did you manage to moved mom out of the hospital?"

" It simple actually, since her health progress increased a lot, I pay to transfer her to home treatments"

"Including fly her to the other states?"

"Yes, your sister help from there." He said while flipping through the passport.I grabbed mine too.

"Where did you get all the money, dad?" As soon as I said that, he stare into me.

" Don't be mad at me but, I sell our house"

Immediately, I stop my next step.
" What? But.. that house".

He turned to looked at me.
" I don't have a choice Adelle, If I have..I wouldn't sell it, fortunately there is someone looking for a house in that area and he paid more than the house worth, well including all the furniture of course".

I looked at my dad in disbelief, but I didn't complaining as I know the reason behind it.

We run into the immigration for check up and luck on our side when we passed the checking.

After we arrived at our destination, Mandy picked us up. They already moved from their former house, We know we can't live with Mandy for too long as it will put her family's in danger.

Mandy's husband has a contact with someone who wants to sell a house, half price from our former house, but just a small farm house and a little bit far from Mandy's house.

Dad accept it anyways, that's the best deals we can get right now. We spent a day to clean the house, luckily it's a full furnished house so we get to saved money to pay a nurse for mother's home treatment.

I've been throwing up a lot during the moved in process which made Mandy noticed something. So she asked me to do pregnancy test. And here we are.
