"Hey, you did really well today Harry" Luna says as she skipped to catch up with me as we left the potions classroom.

"T-Thanks Luna" I said nervously pulling my book bag closer to me. Potions was my last class for our first day back for the new year. Not a lot happened but I managed to get a smile from Professor Snape when he handed back Luna's and mine holiday homework where which we had gotten full marks. Luna had joined the sixth-year class this year since she excelled in her exams last year which was really nice to hear. Luna is really the only friend I've ever had well apart from my anonymous protector, which I have never met so...

"Well, I'll see you tomorrow Harry" She said as we parted ways to our different common rooms. In Hufflepuff there were only 5 or 6 other students in my year which is why we were able to have our own rooms starting fourth year. Professor Sprout had thought it best that we shared with others for the first three years then if we really wanted our own rooms then we were welcome to have them. This would enable us to get to know our house mates more and so we didn't feel as lonely in this big and magical castle.

I preferred the idea of having my own room, just because it was much quieter and less hectic. It was a space I could call my own, it was also a space in which I could just let down my walls and masks and just feel free. The rooms were spacious but still cosy and had this sense of welcoming and peacefulness. Over the past couple of years I had decorated my room and tweaked a few things to make it just the way I wanted it to and I think now I could safely call it my second home. Even though I had a family and a large number of friends and associates I thought it was better to make long lasting and unbreakable relationships with a few instead of putting trust and hope in a thousand people you hardly knew. My parents and brother didn't see it my way though, they loved the spotlight.

[Harry's room at Hogwarts]

After placing my book bag onto the table at the end of my bed I sat up onto the window sill ledge and tucked my knees under my chin. Being in Hufflepuff had its advantages, for one our house common rooms were on the ground floor of the castle meaning great bedroom window views and not having to go up and down hundreds of moving stairs every day. The best thing I did to change my room was the bookshelves, they lined half of one of the walls, the other half being the windows, as well as whole other wall.

The first wall of shelves I was able to fill during the middle of last year as I finally found the spell which could copy the writings and notes of a book and transfer them into a separate journal/book. Since then I've started to copy all of the Hogwarts library and then during the holidays, the Potter library. The cost for buying all of the blanks journals wasn't too risky, especially since I was able to buy them in a muggle shop in London for much cheaper than the shop in Diagon Alley would sell them. I was able to buy 100 empty books at a time for only 80 pounds which would be equal to about sixteen galleons. I was extremely happy with this.

Laughter outside in the hallway brought me back to reality, I should probably change into some different robes for dinner. The ones I picked out were the colour black with a silver and gold trimming. They were a little plain but I loved them, simplicity was what I favoured over fanciness and complexity. I clasped my malachite necklace back onto my neck after washing my face and a smile automatically made its way onto my face. I may still not know who they are but I know they cared about me and wanted to make sure I felt protected and safe. Just the memory of receiving these three jewellery pieces made me feel all happy and tingly. The special thing about these three pieces were that only I could see them or take them on or off. It was our own little secret.

My special protector wasn't the only thing I kept a secret from others, during my years at Hogwarts I had discovered a number of things about myself and the castle. For starters I somehow inherited metamorphous abilities which enables me to change the look of my face and the colour of my hair. I mainly changed the colour of my hair though when I was in the private comfort of Luna or my room. Over the years my hair had grown to almost shoulder length and I liked just adding small silver or blue highlights in it sometimes.

The other things I had found out were that I had an epidemic memory, I was able to bend the elements of lightening and water to my will and that there were many more secret rooms and passages which were not on the Marauders map that I knew my father had given his copy of it to Jayden. Just knowing that Jayden didn't have the ability to change his face or hair colour was really comforting to me, even though I knew I was the real boy who lived, Jayden still had a slightly above average magical core which allowed him to bend the element of earth to his will, plus he could do some second-fourth year wandless spells and charms.

Casting a wandless tempus, I realised I still had about half an hour until dinner so I started to make my way out of the common room and to the great hall using a number of different hidden routes and passages, other students couldn't find. When I arrived behind the portrait of two ladies having afternoon tea, I spotted my twin brother and his two best friends, Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, talking quietly amongst themselves. Apparently, Dumbledore had tasked them to start finding and collecting Voldemort's horcruxes so that they could destroy them and leave Voldemort vulnerable to an array of different attacks. They had already found two which was good for them, I didn't hold much hostility towards them because they were nice enough to just acknowledge my presence and walk away unlike some more aggressive students. The next day they would end up in the hospital wing with the symptoms of being electrocuted but I wouldn't admit to or deny anything. Soon they, like all of the others, learnt to just leave me be in the shadows, that was the way I liked it.

Dinner consisted of a plate full of mashed potatoes and some beef casserole which was really delicious. The rest of the night went quite uneventful and so I found myself sitting in my favourite spot in all of Hogwarts, the edge of the forbidden forest. I just loved coming here after night before curfew, I was able to just lie down on the naked ground and look up to see the trees swaying in time with the wind and the stars glistening as they shone from above.

The feeling of someone watching me sent a shiver down my spine but it didn't make me uncomfortable, I knew this feeling, I have had this feeling non stop for the past nine years. They were here, somewhere, watching over me. I lay completely still and turned my head to the side to see a pair of glowing amber eyes staring straight back at me. However, striking they were, I didn't feel the need to run away, I knew that they, whoever they were, wouldn't maim or harm me in any way. My breath hitched in my throat though when those amber eyes seemed to start to come closer to me. I watched on as they came closer and closer until they were a metre away from me.

"Hello, I'm sorry I've never had the chance to properly introduce myself all of these years, I'm Edward Cullen, you're Harrison Malachite Potter" An alluring and deep voice spoke, his voice echoing a little throughout the trees. I hastily got up onto my feet and saw his face in the soft glow of moonlight. My hand reached outward involuntarily to touch him. When I felt something solid and corporal, I breathed out shakily.

"You are real, sometimes I think I'm crazy but I know you have been watching over me for the past nine years. Why now?"

"I-I thought I felt content just watching over you but I realise I need you in my life, I need to feel you, talk to you, laugh with you, spend time you, live my life with you. Something bad is coming, I can sense it, it's almost suffocating, and all I know is that I need to get to know you, I cannot just keep you at arm's length anymore."

"I'm glad, you know I still have another two hours until curfew, why don't we just start to get to know each other.

"I'd like that"

I had thought of this, dreamt of this happening, but now that it is actually real, it just feels like I'm in another one of my dreams. After all of these years I finally get to meet him and he just looks so mysterious, so handsome, everything just invites me in. This night will forever change my life but I can be sure of one thing, I won't be so alone anymore.
