Chapter 7

Nova P.O.V

After FP had dropped me off I immediately went and checked all the rooms to make sure that no one was in them and that the the house was secure after 5 minutes of checking the house I went too my two mom's room to make sure they were alright. They were. They asked me why I looked so frightened I told them I wasn't that I was fine I wasn't ready to tell them about the murder because I didn't feel like talking about it so I just gave them both a kiss on the head and went to my room and just stared at the ceiling all night because I couldn't get to sleep just waiting for the sun to rise.

Rose P.O.V

A few days after the murder of Layla, I stopped eating, and fell into a depression. I didn't come out of my room, if I did it was to hang out with Caleb. I listen to a bunch of sad music, while going through pictures I've had of her. I've known Layla for years. Soon it was time for her funeral. I put on a black dress and a pair of black mary Jane's. I didn't bother putting on makeup, because I knew my tears would ruin it. We arrived where the funeral was taking place, I sat next to Nova.

The  minister said...
Today we say goodbye to the youngest child of Liliana and Kevin White.
She was the sweetest girl anybody could've known. Helping everyone around her, she believe that there was good in everyone. Overall she was truly an angel in this town. Its a shame that she didn't live to go to college, or have a family of her own, but she's in a better place...

After everyone gave their speeches about her, it was me and Novas turn to give a speech. We walked hand in hand and got onto the stage. I started the message by saying...
"Layla is one of the sweetest people I've have ever known. She always wore a smile on her face, even when she went through hardships she always wore a smile. She always looked on the bright side of things. She was a very good friend, and I'm very sad that's she's gone, but like the minister said, she's in a better place. A place where no pain and darkness exists. Layla is one big throbbing heart to me. She's all emotional, feeling, and support.
She's right there with you, no matter what you did, she would always be there for her friends." I say with tears running down my cheeks.

Nova P.O.V

After Rose was done saying what she needed to say it was my turn

Well I'm not good at giving speeches and I never say the right thing but I can say this Layla is by far the best person I'd ever meant though I only knew her for a short while I already know what kind of a person she is there isn't a bad word in the dictionary that describes her because she was nothing but good and she did not deserve what happened to her.
I say with tears running down my face I couldn't handle all this i felt sick to my stomach it was bringing up stuff from the past stuff I was trying not to think about before I knew it I was running away from the funeral and Rose chased after me.
