We stood outside of the Academy to formulate a plan. 'Now that I know about this, I cannot stand by.' Announced Ranka-san. 'Lobelia Academy is like a flower with sweet, sticky nectar. You cannot resist but once you're caught, you have to escape at all costs. Even if it bankrupts you.'
Honey-senpai voiced the words we were all thinking. 'How do you know so much about this?'
Kyoya cut in quickly, clearly sensing the rising hysteria. 'I don't think Haruhi is the type to get caught up in anything.'
'Says the guy who forcibly got her caught up in his club.' I muttered under my breath. Luckily Ranka-san didn't hear.
'You're right. Kotoko was a cool woman too, not upset by anything.'
'Kotoko?' Questioned the twins.
Kyoya pushed his glasses up his nose. 'Her late mother, Haruhi seems to have taken after her mother in many ways. She also aims to be like her mother.'
Ranka-san resumed her story. 'I was so elated after our marriage that for the first few months, I didn't notice. Then one day when I was cleaning I found it! Her Zuka Club memorabilia!'
Everyone reacted to this news with suitable levels of horror. 'But if Haruhi takes after her mother...!' The twins began to panic.
'Is Haru-chan going to go bankrupt?' Honey-senpai cried, flailing around. 'She didn't have much of a fortune to begin with!'
'Does she even know?' I asked, trying to reintroduce some degree of rationality. 'I don't see how that would be relevant otherwise.'
'Kyoya! Order us some Lobelia uniforms immediately! We're going to sneak in!' Tamaki-senpai announced.
Ranka-san kicked him in the head. 'Overruled! Men who dress up as women without pursuing that way of life are sickening. Are you making fun of a professional? Huh? Listen up. If we're going to sneak into Lobelia Academy then you have to listen to me! I have a secret plan.'
Somehow Ranka-san then acquired 8 Zuka club fan shirts. I wrinkled my nose at the pink T-shirt Tamaki-senpai was waving in my face. 'I am not wearing that.'
'Seina-san you-'
'She is not wearing that.' Kyoya cut in shortly. I gave him a grateful smile and allowed him to wrap an arm securely around my waist.
'But Kyoya-'
'Seina will not be doing anything she doesn't want to and it would not be befitting for my fiancé to be seen dressed in such a way.' The T-shirt procured for him lay discarded on the floor.
'Oh Seina-san! Kyoya-kun! In all the excitement I completely forgot about your engagement! Congratulations.' Ranka-san cheered.
'Thank you Ranka-san.' I replied, bowing respectfully. Kyoya gave her a charming smile.
'Oh it is no trouble at all!' She leaned in to whisper conspiratorially in my ear. 'So when can I be expecting to meet those beautiful babies you're going to have?'
My face turned a fiery shade of red as I smiled awkwardly. 'Not for a long while I hope.' Kyoya, who had clearly overheard, was smirking at me, completely unfazed.
The twins frowned at us, returning to the topic at hand. 'But if you're not dressing up like us...'
'...and we're sure you're not!'
'Then what are you going to do?' They finished in unison.
'That is none of your concern.' Kyoya retorted shortly.

Lobelia Academy was exactly how I remembered it. It was a grand old building, built like a palace, which towered over the neighbourhood it sat in, with extensive gardens and long sweeping wings. In short, it looked like a wealthy and respectable school, until you got past the front gates that is. Then the true insanity of the students was revealed. There appeared to be some sort of event going on that had drawn the students into school on the weekend and the Zuka club fans were out in force.
We snuck in and began a circuit of the school building, peering through the windows and looking for Haruhi.
Eventually we found her inside a dance studio where some kind of rehearsal appeared to be going on. Benibara was lying on the floor and giving a lengthy, dramatic monologue while Haruhi looked on impassively. Her actions looked sympathetic, kneeling by the body and cradling her head, but her face was expressionless and she was speaking only in a monotone. To be polite, her acting skills were horrendous.
'Is Haru-chan in there?' Honey-senpai asked, unable to see over our heads.
'Yes. She appears to be playing a heroine in some sort of tradegy.' Tamaki-senpai supplied. 'But she is completely monotonous...an incredible daikon radish.'
Ranka-san sighed heavily, 'She's my daughter and even I can't say anything to dress it up.'
Haruhi then stood up to sing, music kicking in with her, and we were all rendered speechless. Haruhi was a really talented singer, with a sweet little voice which seemed strangely at odds with her normal speech. Then the music suddenly stopped and Haruhi's lips continued moving but ceased to make any sound. A quick scan of the room revealed an apologetic girl plugging the sound system back in. When the music restarted, so did Haruhi's singing.
'Lip syncing huh?' The boys concluded.
Then we were ambushed by the fan club. 'Hey! Newbies! You said you wanted to join the Benibara fan club so you will do what the rest of us are doing! No jumping ahead allowed.'
Kyoya who had been casually leaning against a pillar, unconcerned by events within the dance studio suddenly tugged me behind said pillar and placed a finger to my lips. I tried to ignore the way my body insisted on reacting to being so close to him. My heart beat skittering about in my chest and a faint blush rising to my cheeks. It was Ranka-san's fault for teasing me earlier. The look on his face told me he was well aware of the effect he was having on me and of what was going on inside my head. When the Zuka club fanatics were suitably distracted indoctrinating their new members, we slipped away.
