The Ocean Took Him Away

Summer that day, when he said he wanted to swim,
He gathered all those things that can be used in diving,
I was too confused, he said he just wanted a dip,
But ended up diving in deep.

That night I heard screams and yells,
I thought it was him who collected sea shells.
But as the light from the moon illuminated to the sight,
All I found was his materials, but he's nowhere to find.

The ocean took him away from me,
So I explore it with the help I need,
We found nothing but the beautiful horizon,
Shoulders where slump, all I can is oblivion.

They say he drowned, but body isn't found,
So I ended up believing he is just around,
I was lost in illusion myself has made,
And now I can't move on from the pain I grief.

It took him away, just like how his heart took mine,
And I am still hoping it'll come back in time.
I will wait even if it'll take a bit longer,
And I will still comeback here every summer.
