"I better figure what that is about" newt says getting up from his seat.

"I got to get going too and so should chuck" you and chuck get up. You put away your garbage before leaving the homestead.

"What do you think that was about" chuck asks you.

"I'm not sure but I hope Minho is okay, usually Doug runs with Minho and if Doug is here and bruised I can only imagine something might have happened to Minho" you reply

"Yeah but it something happened to Minho Doug would have said something" chuck points out

"Yeah I guess you are right, thanks chuck" you ruffle the boys hair.

The two of you split up to go to your jobs.

You head over to the medjacks and greet Clint and Jeff before getting to work.

After many hours of tending to scrapes and bruises it's time for you clean up and finish for the day.

You put everything away and walk towards newt who is finishing up planting a few seeds.

"Hey newt" you greet him

"Hey" he replies while digging a hole.

"You ever find out why Doug was bruised?" You ask your curiosity getting the best of you.

"Yeah actually, but I don't think Doug was telling the truth when I asked him" he says turning to look at you after putting his things away.

"How so" you ask following after him as he begins walking to the homestead for dinner

"Well he said that Minho was the one that gave him the bruises"

After hearing that you abruptly stop in your path and look at newt with wide eyes.

"I don't believe it" You say

"I don't either but we have to wait until Minho gets here to confirm. If his knuckles are bruised then we know Doug was telling the truth" He explains

You nod the two of you walk into the homestead together.

"What's for dinner I'm starving" you tell him

"I think Frypan made pasta" newt winks at you knowing that pasta is your favorite

"Today is a great day for the glade" you respond causing newt to laugh

You both take a seat next to Thomas and chuck after getting your food. Thomas came back to the glade a little early today.

"Hey y/n and newt" Thomas says as you two sit down.

"You're here a little early" you tell him

"Yeah wanted to get back fast before all the pasta was gone. Frypan told me this morning that he was going to make it" you laugh

"Pasta is truly the best"

"Agreed" the two of you nod your head and then both dig into the pasta
