Claire

"Why are you so grumpy early in the morning?" I hopped off the stairs, seeing Chan crossing his arms angrily on the couch with his school bag.

"Claire? You'll be taking your older brother to the university now." Mom tossed me my keys. I glanced at Chan before looking back at mom. "I'm not following.."

"Oppa trashed his car in front of Mrs. Seo's garden last night." Hannah answered as she got her bag ready. My eyed widen at the male, "You what?!"

"Changbin seemed lonely and he was waiting for an uber around 2 hours last night." Chan murmured.

"It won't be long, you'll have your car back.. in 5 months." Mom left us alone which gave Chan a shock on his face. "Time to use your bicycle." I suggested.

"Hurray." Chan sounded less enthusiastic about it.

"Isn't this like my first day to junior high." Hannah chuckled at the backseat with Lucas. Chan on the other hand was still not happy about it.

"Cheer up Chris, you'll always be home earlier now." I needed to lighten up his face before he goes dark like his dark clothes. "I don't know what to say." He sighed as he plugged in his airpods, ignoring us. I continued on driving as usual until I spotted a red flashy car beside me. "Wow, what an eyesore." I couldn't bare bright colors early in the morning, it was too painful to look at.

"You shouldn't have said that out loud if you left your window open." Hannah reminded me which made my face burn up. "What." I checked as I poked my hand out and there was no glass around. "Oh shit." I quickly rolled up the glass.

"Do you think he heard it?" I was panicking.

"Positive." Hannah replied. "Stop messing with me!" I was not up for their mind games.

"He looked real pissed." Lucas answered.

"Who's pissed?" Chan finally joins the chat. "A driver because Claire called his car an eyesore." Damn our little brother is too honest. I gripped on the steering wheel and dropped the both of them to their school. "You pissed off a driver? Was their car too flashy in color?" Chan resumed on asking me about what happened earlier.

"Yeah, you can say that."

"What happens if that drivers knows you? Like a friend from your subjects in the university?" If he meant Hyunjin, I'll have to calm down his drama ass with some coffee as usual or Seungmin with more DAY6 merch to give his cold ass. "I have my ways."

"Suit yourself, not all of your methods work like a charm always." Chan you're weird.

"Why are you scaring me like that? It's weird."

"I just remembered you and Jisung-"

"We shall not talk about that and if this is your way of annoying me because you got yourself into a mess.. you're sick." I hated how he mentioned Jisung this way. Chan got quiet and left the conversation cold. I parked the car at the back of the university, Chan whispered a soft sorry but I already left him at the lobby. I can't believe he just did that.

"Claire?" I walked past my only sane friend, Jeongin. He manages to catch up with my pace. "Slow down!" He calls me after.

"Did you fight with Chan-"

"Don't even try to say his name." Hearing him say Chan makes me sick. "Oh. It happened." Jeongin seemed like he anticipated this.

"I was going to call you but my battery was zero.I'm sorry!" He bowed down.

"You're lucky that I don't get angry on you." True, Jeongin is the only guy I'm close with that I don't get mad at easily. "You love me too much Claire." There he goes, being too proud.

I don't mind him not calling me noona. He's my best friend and he looked after me when he accelerated in 5th grade. "Don't get ahead of yourself Jeongin." I spat as we went to our first period, English.

Later that day, I ate lunch with Jeongin.

He knew very well I didn't want to see my brother for awhile. "You should really talk about you know and you. It's been a year. Don't let it freeze your hearts forever." Jeongin knew well it wasn't doing good. It puts a strain between me and the group I practically grew up with. Aside from the Chan issue, I had issues with somebody in the group.

"He won't listen to me, Jeongin."

"It's more you like you two don't like to listen to each other." Jeongin was also tired of it. He got dragged to our mess. "I stopped Chan hyung from interfering at first but if Jisung hyung won't stop disappearing from their practices, I guess your brother will have to force you two to talk anytime soon." He brought that up. He knows Chan would do anything for their group to work out.

"I'll find Jisung and talk to him soon." The answer was making feel weary.

"Good. Now I have the appetite to eat now."
