Early morning only Reagan and Alexa were on the training ground, "Fetch!" Regan threw the stick away when Alexa didn't move, he told her again pointing in the direction, "Go, fetch."

"Again?" Alexa frowned.

It had been a week since they started her training, she was getting better, her reflexes, stamina, and physical strength had improved tremendously.

"Yes." He nodded.

When she refused to move, he urged, "We don't have time, Alex. Go on, before your friends come, after that, we'll start the run."

"Explain it to me again why should I 'fetch' that stick for you?" She narrowed her eyes at him.

"I already told you, it's a part of your training, why ask again?" Crossing his arms against his chest he raised his brows at her.

"Cause I find it very weird, only my training? I don't see you make others do that and also, Lia told me you were just having your revenge on me." She eyed him accusingly.

"What revenge?" He shrugged, playing innocent.

"though I don't know what's the revenge she's talking about but whatever it is, I don't think she's lying." Alexa eyed him suspiciously.

"Why do you think so?" His brows quicked up.

"Cause I don't miss that satisfied smile of yours when I fetch the stick for you, that smug look on your face." She glared at him.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He pulled an innocent face.

"uh-huh?" She narrowed her eyes at him.

"Yes, now go fetch, it'll be a warm-up before the run and if I didn't know better I'd say you're just making excuses to escape your training." He scoffed.

"Okay, fine." She rolled her eyes.

He chuckled as he watched her run to fetch the stick.

After the morning run, they all laid on the ground, resting and giggling.

"Let's meet here, after an hour," Dismissing them, Reagan turned to leave.

"Hey," Alexa ran after him, "Yes?" He turned back and looked at her affectionately as she finally stood in front of him.

"All this training is fine but when do I get to fight you?" She asked.

"Fight me?" He cocked his head to the side.

"You said you'd let me challenge you, remember?" She raised her brows.

"Oh, that," He nodded, "Tomorrow, you'll have a duel."

"We'll have a duel tomorrow?" Her eyes sparkled.

"You're having a duel." He corrected her.

"With someone else?" She frowned.

"Yes, tomorrow our pack's having a friendly duel, and let's test your improvement there." He smiled at her.

"I guess I can't just go up and challenge The Alpha King first," She pouted, "But that's okay, I'll just take it as a small step that'll lead me to you." She shrugged.

"I swear," He leaned in close and whispered, she stiffened at their closeness, their lips were only a cm apart.

"Don't provoke me, your words are very misleading," He took a lock of her hair and tucked it behind her ear, her breath hitched, "breathe," He whispered in her ear, he then backed away and smiled at her ruffling her hair, "See you at the breakfast," saying that he walked off.

She finally released her breath she didn't realize she had been holding in, "Woah! That man!" She narrowed her eyes at him as his figure slowly disappeared at a distance.

After an hour, they met at the training ground, "Hmm... I guess you guys are already bored with all the training." Reagan watched their dull faces, usually, they would have been shining with enthusiasm.

"Of course, all work and no play, what do you expect? They've all had enough of your deadly training every day, give them a break would you?" Lia mocked her brother.

Ignoring his sister he continued, "Let's train differently today. You guys like football?" He asked, he already knew the answer.

"We love it!" Murphy exclaimed cheerfully.

"Hell yeah." Conner clapped her hands.

"It's been a while." Tyler gave a knowing smile to Reagan, they all nodded in agreement.

"Let's have a match then." Reagan smiled back at them.

"Let's form a team, first. Me, Alex, Tyler, Conner, Murphy, Kevin...." Lia listed out her teammates. "And me," Reagan concluded her list with his name before she could name some other player.

"Oh no, brother, you're the opposite team." Lia smiled wickedly.

He narrowed his eyes at her before he could object, Alexa clasped her hands together, "Oh yes! That way, I get to have a match with you, great!" She exclaimed.

"See brother, even our queen agrees," Lia smirked.

"Fine," His lips formed a tight line as he glared at his sister, who just shrugged and hugged her best friend. "May I join your team?" They heard a voice from behind, looking back they saw Carla approach them, Alexa's smile disappeared instantly, the air became colder, Carla glared at her acidly, Alexa raised her brows, what the hell was her problem?

Carla then turned her gaze to Reagan, her gaze softened, "Alpha," She batted her lashes at him. Alexa didn't like it, for some reason, part of her wanted to snap that beautiful neck of hers and pluck every single lash off her eyes, she gasped at her violent thoughts, what the hell is wrong with me? she shook her head trying to shake off her thoughts and walked from there.

Reagan, an amusing smile played on his lips.

The match began with the whistle of the referee, within a second, the ball was gone, Alexa, Conner, and Murphy just stood there blinking at one another. Within a few seconds, the opposite team scored a goal. Again, when Alexa finally got the ball, in an instant it disappeared, when she looked up Carla gave her a mocking smile, and then she scored another goal.

Weren't we playing this game for fun?

Again, in a blink, a goal was scored, but this time it was their team who did it, Tyler and Kevin high-fived. But it didn't change the fact that her human friends and herself were lost in their fast-paced game, Just then, Conner waved her hands in the air, "Time please!" She shouted.

"Oii, spare us, would you? Aren't we playing this for fun? If you guys continue to play like this, where's the fun?" She complained, "You're supernaturals but we're not superhumans." She had to remind them.

"Sorry, sorry," The others apologized.

The game resumed with the whistle and this time as promised they slowed down but they were still fast to catch up. With another whistle it was half time, the score was 100 vs 90, they were leading with 10 goals. "Wow!" Murphy stared at the scoreboard in awe, "And it's just half time."
