Ride
Sinabihan ako ni Dim na daanan ko nalang s'ya sa condo n'ya. Medyo may kalayuan ang location at aabutin ng ilang oras ang pagdrive. I brought all the necessities I need. Malapit ang location sa dagat so I decided to wear as beach vibe outfit.
I put on my white off shoulder crochet crop top and a white flowy square pants with a slit on both legs. My chocolate colored sandals aren't that visible since the pants are too long. To finalize, I also wore sunglasses and brought a hat since the weather is way too hot.
"Architect ka Priya. Hindi artista," pagsisimula ni Dim. He won't think that I'm overdressing since I'm usually extra when it comes to dressing up.
At ako pa talaga ang pinag-drive n'ya. He's wearing a white polo shirt and brown beach shorts.
Paniguradong pagkakamalan na naman kaming mag-jowa but it's the least of my concern. Nasanay na rin ako sa ilang taga hanga ni Dim na kulang nalang ay ipakulam ako kapag nakikita kaming magkasama.
"Alam ba ng manager mong nandito ka?" I asked him.
"He doesn't need to know everything." Typical Dim.
He's the person who made me feel that my brother was never really gone in the first place. Like he was Kael's reincarnation. At first, akala ko magkatulad sila si Isidro ng ugali since they're both a hidden softie. Isidro for children while Dim for animals. He likes animals so much but not just your ordinary ones.
Penguins in particular.
Naalala ko noong niyaya n'ya akong mag-out of the country just to see penguins after watching the movie, Happy Feet. He became obsessed after that.
"You mean she?" Humagalpak kami sa pagtawa. He connected his phone on the car's speaker and we rode until the sun rises. Maaga kasi kaming umalis at mukhang mauuna pa kami doon.
"First runner up lang tayo," sabi ni Dim nang makitang may nakapark na doon.
"Nagdala ka bang camera?" I asked him when I scanned my eyes in the entire place. Sobrang ganda dahil kasisikat palang ng araw.
There's something about endings that makes me feel alive, sunsets and afternoons in particular. But the early morning breeze, the calm whistles of the wind, they give much room that they can fit the definition of home.
"I'm not your photographer," naiiling na sabi ni Dim. Ang KJ!
"Wala pa naman sila, bilis!" Hinila ko s'ya papunta doon sa may unahang part. May nakapwestong maliit na cottage at trapal na ginawang bubong sa may gilid. There's also a small hall were we will hold meetings, Medyo malayo pa ang dagat pero natatanaw na.
"One, two, three! Tingin ka ng konti sa gilid. Yan! Tingala naman. Upo ka don. One two..." One thing I like about Dim, he's a good photographer. Dahil na rin siguro sa trabaho n'ya.
"Ipasa mo sa'kin!" Ang gaganda ng shots.
"One hundred, isang picture," sabi n'ya at inirapan ko lamang s'ya. I was busy studying my photos when two people appeared in front of us.
Nakita ko si Lorenzo na nakakunot ang noo at nakatingin sa damit namin ni Dim. But he's not alone. May kasama s'yang isang babae.
And I can already tell. She's the 'itch' in bitch.
She's wearing a cute pink dress but it doesn't look cute on her. Her hair's in a clean ponytail giving accent to her eyebrows that are on fleek. Napadako naman ang tingin ko sa braso n'yang nakapulupot kay Lorenzo. Oh my goodness! I should stay away from Ade, she's teaching me too much devil work.
