Sometimes I think about this one time when I was in summer school 2 years ago. I heard someone saying that Pokémon music is country music. Sadly I was too far away (and too shy) to absolutely prove him wrong.
Tbh I can only think of 3 songs that could potentially qualify as "country music"- Eterna City, Paniola Town, and Turffield. Even then, they don't really sound too country-ish. (And at the time, Turffield didn't exist because this happened 2 years ago.)
