In the distance we can hear what sounds like a thousand birds flying about. Hopefully the next obstacle is feeding pigeons.
"What is that?" Hermione asked us and looks towards the sound.
"I don't know. Sounds like wings." We follow Harry into a room filled with golden birds.
"Blimey." I say quietly and I look up to see that there was thousands of birds. Or maybe giant bugs- I shivered at the thought of giant golden wasps.
"Curious. I've never seen birds like these." Hermione says from beside me.
"They're not birds, they're keys. And I'll bet one of them fits that door." Harry says and we spot a broomstick suspended in the air.
"What's this all about?" Hermione swipes her hand over the broom afraid to touch it.
"I don't know. Strange." Harry rubs face thinking.
"Alohomora!" Ron shouts and I towards him and see that hes trying to unlock the door. "Well, it was worth a try." Ron shrugged and I shake my head and turn back to Harry and Hermione.
"Ugh! What're we going to do? There must be 1000 keys up there!" She throws a hand up at the keys.
"Maybe we need to say please-" They give unamused looks.
"We're looking for a big old fashioned one. Probably rusty like the handle." Ron pipes up from the door. Harry watches the keys closely for a moment.
"There! I see it! The one with the broken wing!" He points up towards it then eyes the broom.
"What's wrong, Harry?"
"It's too simple." Harry shakes his head.
"Maybe." I mutter and look from the door the the broom.
"Oh, go on, Harry! If Snape can catch it on that old broomstick, you can! You're the youngest seeker in a century!" Ron says. Forever Harry's personal hype man.
Harry nods and grins, getting a bit more confident. His hand barely touches the broom when we hear a woosh the keys all made a sudden beeline for Harry. Holding on for dear life as the keys smacked into him Harry lifted off.
"This complicates things a bit!" Ron shouts and I watch Harry carefully as he properly chases after the rusty key now. Hermione and I watch in horror and the other keys pursue him like a huge golden shimmery shadow. Harry barely catches the key and zooms towards us.
"Catch the key!" He throws the key at me- I catch it and run to the door. I shove the key in the lock and throw open the door.
"Hurry up!" Ron shouts to Harry as he runs behind the door. I hold it open and watch terrified as Harry races right at us. Harry barely makes it into the door before Hermione, Ron and I throw ourselves against it slamming it closed. Harry crashes to the floor and rolls onto his back. He raised his head and a weary thumbs up and let it fall to the floor. I couldn't help but give a small chuckle and fall to the floor against the door.
"Well Harry- try not to have nightmares about a thousand snitches chasing after you after that nightmare." I said banging my head lightly against the door.
"Blimey Notte- you sure have a twisted sense of humour- dont you?" Harry said amused from his place on the floor.
"Just trying to make you all laugh before we have to go find a stone that could potentially make the entire wizarding worlds worst nightmare immortal." I said brightly - in the thickest sarcasm I could manage.
"Gee- Thanks." Harry looked at me and shakes his head before getting up and leading us into the next room.
