He looked back to his bandmates, Jirou stood with her bass and Bakugou holding up his drumsticks, both waiting for Shinsou to be ready. He nodded to them, and Katsuki's sticks clanked together before he and Jirou started playing.

Shinsou took a deep breath as his fingers danced across the strings of his guitar, the crowd watching with intent. One more breath and Shinsou brought his lips to the microphone.

"Can't help but wondering if this is the last time that I'll see your face," he sung, closing his eyes so he wouldn't have to see the hundred or so sets of eyes watching him. "Is it tears or just the falling rain?" His hands played the guitar almost on autopilot. "Wish I could say something." The only thing he was really concentrated on was the lyrics and what they meant to him. "Something that doesn't sound insane, but lately I don't trust my brain." Visions of Kaminari were starting to play in his mind's eye and he had to push them away as he continued. "You tell me I won't ever change so I just say nothing." Jirou echoed the last line, the tune of her guitar playing softly in Shinsou's ears, though he still stayed focused on the lyrics.

"No matter where I go I'm always gonna want you back," he sung. Jirou backed away from the mic, Shinsou's voice the only one heard, now. "No matter how long you're gone I'm always gonna want you back." His thoughts of Denki were becoming more and more persistent as he started to feel some of the emotions he had felt writing this song. "I know you know I will never get over you." Everything he was singing was true. "No matter where I go I'm always gonna want you back." And for a split second, he almost wished Kaminari could hear him now, hear how much he missed him, even though he knew it was probably for the best that he couldn't. "Want you back."

"I remember the freckles on your back and the way that I used to make you laugh." Shinsou nearly smiled as he remembered the bittersweet memories of him and Denki. "'Cause you know every morning I wake up, yeah, I still reach for you." He remembered the feeling of waking up next to him, how happy he'd felt. "I remember the roses on your shirt when you told me this would never work." He remembered that day clearly, how the fought, how much it hurt to see Kaminari with someone else. "You know even when I say I've moved on, yeah, I still dream for you." He missed him, he really did.

"No matter where I go I'm always gonna want you back." Singing this song Made Shinsou feel like he really had lost Denki. "No matter how long you're gone I'm always gonna want you back." Maybe he had. "I know you know I will never get over you." Maybe he was just being too optimistic. Kaminari shouldn't choose him, he wouldn't, not when he had someone like Sero. "No matter where I go I'm always gonna want you back." Denki would choose Sero over Hitoshi in the end, and he'd be left to his own self-pity. It was bound to happen. "Want you back."

The three played for a moment before Shinsou brought his mouth to the mic once more. "You know, even when I say I moved on," he continued, moving on to the bridge now. "You know, even though I know that you're gone." Bakugou lightly beat his dumbs. It was a miracle that Shinsou and Jirou were able to convince him to play a more mellow song like this. "All I think about is where I went wrong."

The music had slowed down now, and Shinsou felt almost a lump in his throat with all of the memories rushing back to him. "You know, even when I say I moved on." No, he wasn't going to cry, not again. If he really wanted to, Hitoshi could save that for after the show. "You know, even though I know that you're gone." But this song still made him emotional, and with good reason. "All I think about is where I went wrong." He'd written it the same day of the breakup, hoping it would be able to cheer him up if he vented in the form of a song. "Yeah, I still dream for you." It didn't work as well as he had hoped, speaking that he still ended up needing to go to the gym to finish his venting.

"No matter where I go, I'm always gonna want you back." Bakugou beat his drums harder now, bringing the song into the final chorus.

"No matter where I go, I'm always gonna want you back." Jirou echoed him again as he sang. "No matter how long you're gone, I'm always gonna want you back." A flash of yellow hair caught Shinsou's attention, but it disappeared in an instant. "I know you know I will never get over you." Convinced it was only his imagination, Hitoshi's focus was directed back to the song. "No matter where I go, I'm always gonna want you back."

But then Shinsou saw it again, near the side of the stage. "Want you back." He glanced over as he sang the last line of the song and let the music play out. Jirou and Bakugou didn't seem to notice at first, but Shinsou's focus was completely pulled from the song as he noticed that someone was trying to climb onto the stage. The staff surrounding it were trying to push the person back, but they managed to break out of the hold and succeed in climbing up. Both Bakugou and Kyoka were watching now, and Shinsou realized the person that was now stood on the side edge of the stage was the blond hair he'd seen in the crowd moments before.

Then he saw the black lightning bolt adorning the man's hair as he moved forward.

"Denki?" Shinsou screeched, and he'd definitely have dropped his guitar in shock if it hadn't been strapped around him. "What the hell--" He was swiftly cut off as a hand reached out and grabbed him by his arm, tugging him forward.

Shinsou could barely comprehend what was happening before Denki looked into his eyes and dipped him in a tolerably graceful manner. Leaning down, he pressed his lips to Hitoshi's right in front of the entire audience.
