Maureen's

I yawned while rubbing my eyes gently, with my phone pressed on my right ear.

"Yeah?" I mumbled while tilting my head towards my shoulder to hold the phone as I gently put some toothpaste on my toothbrush.

"Hello to you too, Madrid." She responded sarcastically.

I rolled my eyes as I picked some of my eye dirt using my free finger.

"What is it this time, De Guzman?" She cleared her throat, nagsimula na rin akong magsipilyo ng ngipin.

"Remember the letter I sent you yesterday? It was from your school here in Cagayan de Oro, they wanted me to rely that to you." Panimula niya.

So? I'm a bit busy I won't be able to make it ---"

I was cutted off by a loud thud, it was my lotion who fell on the cold floor so I picked it up.

"Always the same reason..."

"De Guzman ----"

"Here. Here. I won't interfere with you decisions anymore, but bear this in mind that this is not just about you doing a speech in front of the students. They want you to officially open an event for their foundation day."

"Really?" I asked.

"Yes." She sighed.

Mabilis kong tinapos ang ginagawa at lumabas na ng banyo para magbihis, I was done taking a bath right before this woman called.

"Cagayan de Oro is too far from here, it'll be a tiring ride De Guzman." She chuckled.

"Pinagpaalam na kita kay Kuya Noelle and the whole department of your company agreed with it. So? I'll be expecting you by night, call me when you got here so I could pick you up."

Before I could say anything she already ended the call.

Hinilot ko ang sentido. Why am I surrounded by stupid and hard headed people?

Since there's no point of arguing with myself if I should go, I decided to go with it. Kahit pa maglupasay siguro ako rito wala ring mangyayari, since Heidi De Guzman is as hard headed as my secretary and everyone else.

Speaking of my secretary. Well, whatever, if it's that urgent then I won't whine.

I tapped Ryuuk's shoulder when I passed by him.

My brows furrowed when I realized that it was Solenn she was talking to. So Solenn is based in the Philippines?

"For what? Are you crazy?" She exclaimed with a grimace.

I almost choked on my coffee upon hearing her response.
