^Casper & Galen & Micah^

Two Years Later

~Waylon~

"CASPER NO!"

Alexei cries out from the living room and I drop what I'm doing in the kitchen to rush to his aid. Stepping into the archway to find Alexei on the floor with the boys holding a half of a crayon in hand.

"Dada snack?" Casper tries to grab it out of his father's hand but Alexei pulls it back.

"Please don't tell me you let him eat a crayon," I plead but Alexei's face says otherwise as he rubs his forehead.

"Snack please?" Casper whines politely for the crayon back and I pick up our hungry baby.

"I left you alone with them for three minutes," I chuckle and Alexei falls back on the carpet amidst a mental breakdown.

"I know but this is Casper we're talking about!" He groans and our little Micah pats his daddy's stressed out face with pure genuine concern.

"Dada okay? Dada okay?" He repeats and Alexei curls little Micah onto his chest to play with him while Galen continues to quietly push a few blocks around. Unbothered by his brothers' drama.

"Come on baby, let's get you a real snack," I pinch Casper's soft cheek and his giggles give me such happiness as we walk over to the kitchen. Sitting him down on the countertop, I open his little mouth to find the red crayon all over.

"Mama snack?" Casper asks and I kiss the top of his mischievous brown head of little wavy curls.

"Yes baby, do you want cheese or grapes?" I ask him and he ponders for a few seconds. They were both his favorites and I could almost see the gears turning in his little gray eyes.

"Both!" He shouts with excitement thinking he's outsmarted me with a smile that makes me want to cave to his wants.

"No baby, it's cheese or grapes. You can only have one because daddy's making dinner soon," I try to explain to him but he was dead set on both.

"Grape Mama," Suddenly startled by the baby who's hand pet my knee, I look down to find Galen had managed to sneak away Alexei in search of a snack. I bet you in five minutes Alexei's gonna come searching for him thinking he's wandered off.

I take Casper off the counter, attaching him to my hip as I turn to the fridge to grab the bag of grapes along with a cutting board and a small knife.

Cutting the little grapes in half I feed Casper the first one before bending down to give Galen the second one. Alexei appears in the doorway to the kitchen with Micah on his shoulders looking slightly worried and I know why.
