Jeremi watched the clock ticking away as he clutched his book, it was a nice day outside, a golden tinge to the basketball court. He wasn't a sporty person... but he liked looking at the court in the last class of the day. He'd been offered to play before because people had seen him watching, but it was also because his boyfriend was the best on the team- so that must have meant Jeremi would be too, right?
Wrong. He hated sport, not only that, but he was short- not 5'' ft sort of short, he was 4''9ft, witch most people found a little seedy because Steven was 6''3. but Jeremi wouldn't care less, he loved him and that was all there was too it. "Hey," Steven nudged him, seeming worried. Jeremi hadn't exactly been all there today. He was distant, scarily so. He rubbed his eyes, looking up. Something had felt very out of place today, like something terrible was going to happen but he just couldn't put his finger on it. "Yeah?" He asked, putting his pencil down. He was trying to be quiet so the teacher didn't hear them talking, if they got caught they would be in trouble. Since it was close to exams they where doing recaps, and for some reason, teachers got angrier then they did in normal classes.
"You seem off, what's the matter?" Steven asked, leaning closer to him.
"I don't know.." Jeremi said, resting his head on stevens shoulder. "something just feels wrong, it has all day...kind of scaring me too" he whimpered. "oh...im sure it's nothing, are you still coming for dinner tonight?" steven asked, poking his lip out at him. "no, sorry. I just don't trust this feeling you know?"
anybody who knew Jeremi knew- if his instincts said DONT do something, he didn't do it...and he was usually right too. "Oh.. okay" Steven sat up, looking back down at his book, not even realizing that jeremi had been on his shoulder. "Hey. I'll call you tonight, alright? will that make you feel better? we can fall asleep on facetime again, just talk, you enjoy that don't you?"
"I do, but it's even nicer when I get to hold you in my arms," steven said with a small smile. Jeremi just smiled a bit, looking down. He always felt as though everything he did wasn't enough, he did try though!.. it was hard.
The bell rang and soon he was packing his stuff into his locker, when he looked inside he noticed a new notebook, it was black. Jeremi didn't usually carry journals or notebooks, or anything like that so this to him was bizarre. He looked it over, it was pretty old, and it had coffee stains on it, which was strange considering jeremi didn't drink coffee either. he sighed, leaving it there, he would work it out tomorrow. For now, he had to get home fast and ask why his father was spamming him with phone calls during class.
Of course, jeremi could have just called back when he was off the school grounds but he needed time to wind down, collect his thoughts. why did he feel so anxious, or scared even?
Finally, he made it to the door, but before he even grabbed the doorknob, the door itself swung open. His father stood there, looking pissed. "Why didn't you call me back!?" he screeched as he pulled him inside. His father wasn't abusive, in fact, they got along quite well most of the time- if you'd even call that about a couple of people who barely spoke. However, when his father, Antoni got stressed, he got short. "I'm sorry, I needed to calm down a bit, it's been a long day," jeremi said quickly, looking up at him as his bag was torn off his shoulders. "dad what are you doing??" he yelped a bit as it was yanked off, but he stood back anyway. "looking for my gun," he said shortly, unzipping the dark yellow bag and tipping it upside down, not caring that Jeremi's glasses fell to the floor along with notebooks and pencils. Jeremi's breath hitched, he hated when his things were messed around with, it made him anxious.
"it's not in there, why are you even accusing me of taking it? did you leave it at the station maybe?" he asked, trying not to snap from the fact that he seriously could have just asked instead of trashing his stuff, after all, Antoni was meant to be the adult here. "I checked the station, I checked the car, I checked my drawers, I checked the same, I even looked in your room. the only explanation is that you took it!" he said to him. "oh yes because I'm gonna steal your gun, please tell me what reason would I have taken it for?" he said. "I don't know! for all, I know your gonna shoot yourself, or worse, the school!!!" that stung, immediately jeremi thought he was saying that he didn't matter compared to everyone else. "whatever. whatever. that's it. I don't know what happened to your gun, alright? but don't take it out on me just because you cant look after your stuff. I'm going to my room" he took the bag, packing up his stuff again.
