My eyes tended to wander to Suga more than the others, I knew I shouldn't - he already had a soulmate - but it was fun to dream.

I looked around at the other players, seeing if I could catch a glimpse of their soulmark.

I noticed that Hinata's was on his arm - a black inked fist inprinted on his upper arm.
I knew from magazines that Kageyama had is hand in a fist showing his completed mark. I silently hoped that through all the hatred, they found love because it was so obvious they were each others one and only. Aww they are gay but don't realise it yet! Or do they..?

I shrugged it off as I saw that Tanaka had a weird shaped mark on his back after he scored a point and pulled his shirt off.

Tsukishima and Yamaguchi had colours covering a certain part of their bodies - indicating they already found their soulmates...eachother?

Yachi's mark was so cute, it was a kiss on the back of her hand.

Everyone else's were either covered or you already knew them [Suga's]. I sighed and rested my chin on my hands.

"They are pretty good aren't they?" I didn't need to turn my head to know that it was Yachi.

"Mhmm..." I hummed.

"Hey, um, I noticed that we can't see your soul-mark. Is it covered?" Her voice wavered, hinting that she is nervous.

"No. I don't have one..." I said calmly, but i think she could hear that I was sad.

"Oh, sorry!" Yachi squeaked, is she like...a moues secret love child?

"Nah it's okay. I've gone through 16 and a half years of telling people I don't have a soulmate." I smiled through the pain.

"No- well yeah- but, you can still fall in love, right? What happens when you fall in love with someone who is already destined to have a soulmate?"

"I guess I'll find out..." I sighed.

"Wait- you like someone who has a soulmate already?" It wasn't shock, the first years voice gave away her general curiousity.

"Yeah...but it's not like it's gonna be a thing." I turned back to the game at hand.

"Can I know who it is?" She whispered, as if saying it any louder would disrupt the boys screams of your average volleyball game. I hesitated, she didn't seem like the one to tell everyone your secrets.

"It's Suga" I whispered back.

"That is so cute!" Yachi let out a quiet 'aw' and smiled, before it dropped. "What are you going to do?"

"I have no clue." I said normally, I smiled and laughed because in honesty it was just a dumb crush.

"SUGA LOOK OUT!"

Yachi and I turned our heads to the game, Suga was on the ground - a volleyball not to face away. The first year and I rushed down to the court, Kyokou already had a first aid kit at hand.'

"We weren't watching, what happened?" Yachi stood next to Hinata in worry.

"Suga day dreamed and got in the face with a volleyball" Daichi replied with no hint at emotion.

"Hey! Don't say it like that! I just...wasn't concentrating!" Suga took away the tissue from his bleeding nose to yell at the captain, before sheepishly placing it back on.

"Hey Suga-Senpai," Hinata spoke up his face completely serious, "What were you thinking about just now? You were all flustered before the ball even hit your face!"

Tanaka laughed at what her just heard. "Suga! Were you thinking about-"

Sugawara had tackled Tanaka to the ground and covered his mouth before he could finish the sentence.

"I'm going home early, [y/n] would you like to come to? We are neighbours." Suga grabbed his sports bag a slung it over his shoulder. I quickly glanced at the giant clock on the wall, 6:30pm. I nodded and made sure I had all my own belongings.

Waving goodbye to the team and it's managers, Suga and I headed back to our street.

"That was fun...thanks for inviting me!" I turned to Suga with a smile covering my face.

"Yeah, your welcome. You know, the team really seem to like you!" His answer was genuine, but something was off the last part of his reply.

"What happened at the last moment there?" I questioned him, still curious as to what it was. I watched as Suga got all flustered and avoided eye contact with me. I frowned, I understand not wanting to say but I also dislike it when my friends keep secrets.

"I um...I was thinking about your cute laugh..." A small nearly mute mumble left Suga's lips.

"What was that?" I didn't quite hear him, did he say my cute laugh? No...he didn't, did he?

"I said i was thinking about life!" A nervous string of giggles and a scratch to the back of the neck told me he was lying.

"You're lying." I pouted

"Wha- nO i'm NoT - how did you know that? NO!" Suga rambled on for a minute or so, "OH! Would you look at that! We're home! Well...BYE!" He ran off and into the door. NO like actually ran into the door. A nasally 'ow' could be heard, followed by jingling keys and finally the door swinging open and slamming shut.

I sighed, I wasn't going to get the answer out of him. I walked up to my own door, pulling out the key I hid this morning and unlocking the door. I trudged inside, starving I dawdled to the kitchen. I didn't bother turning a light on. Feeling around the island bench I swung the fridge door open and pulled out the left over pasta.

I grabbed a clean fork and ate without a word. I wasn't bothered to reheat it, just cold pasta was enough to fill me for the night. After a silent meal, I trudged to the attics opening and pulled down the ladder. I groaned loudly as I felt to lazy and sore to physically pull myself up.

After five minutes of just staring at them, I gathered up the strength to move. Each step painfully slow. I reached the top, it felt like i climbed a mountain, I could've fallen into bed right then and there. I wriggled similarly to a worm in the direction of coziness until my head hit the bed leg.

"Ughh...ow!"

I lied like an idiot on the ground for a while, not being bothered to move. I took a deep sigh, and used the rest of my power to pull myself onto the bed. I got comfortable and pulled my phone out of my pocket, only to realise I haven't changed.

Not wanting to leave the comfort of my bed I decided I'd just sleep in what I was wearing. Pulling up my charger cord, I plugged it into my phone - slightly struggling I turned on my phone's flash. Bad idea, I went blind.

Squinting like my life depended on it, I managed to plug in my phone. I turned off the flash and placed my phone down, then completely allowing my arms to flop. I could only move my head, so I turned to look at my alarm clock.

8:32pm

I hummed, realising how tired I really was. Darkness took over my vision as my eyes began to close. The last thing I remember was hearing dad's roaring car engine pull up outside the house and him trying to sneak inside like a quiet ninja - he totally failed. My eyes finally shut and a small smile evident on my face as I gave into the welcoming world of slumber.
