Later in the day... Rooftop

Sera's daily activities since her powers came back was just to sit on the rooftop all day. Playing games on her phone, watching youtube, or texting John

But Sera was starting to feel bored, especially since John hasn't texted her back since today

'Where is he?' Sera thought, 'Or maybe he's still sleeping?'

She then put her phone back to her pocket — and headed downstairs to the hallways to look for Evie

"Seraphina. Please report to the main office immediately"

Suddenly, the school intercoms called, demanding her to go to Headmaster Vaughn

Sera sighed, 'What is is this time? I swear if this is about Unordinary again—' She thought, furiously. She was starting to get tired of it

As she opened the door to the office, she didn't see Miss Nadia nor Mr. Keon, and for that — she was relieved for a second

But in front of her was Vaughn, standing tall in front of his desk starring me down, displeased

'Is... Is he mad about something? Is this about me?' 

Sera thought. Although she has seen him angry before, he was always keeping a calm or secretive manner about it. But now, it's really drawn in his face

"Seraphina..." He began

"Headmaster" Sera bowed her head slightly. Vaughn had a remote on his hand — and turned on the TV that was in the office *beep*

It was a pre-recorded news that was broadcasted this morning. However, this was the first time that Sera knew about this

But, she did stay calm. She actually expected this — what happened yesterday was a bit too much for some teenagers. The fact that we're high-tiers makes it all the worse. Because now, people will be more terrified of us than they already have

"Seraphina... is that you in the recordings?" He asked, starring deeply into Sera's eyes

'Does he not know? Or is he just testing me?' She thought

But as the authorities aren't here right now, she couldn't help but to lie, as there will be no consequences for it

"No sir..."

Vaughn sighed "Seraphina... I know that Miss Nadia isn't here right now, but you shouldn't lie to me as well"

'Well... so much for that'

"Based off of this video... you wore the same jacket and mask John used when he tracked down a member from EMBER" 

'Vaughn knew this? John didn't tell me anything about thi—'

But then Sera realized that John didn't knew that all this would happen in the first place. Not only did her powers came back, but she also became a vigilante on the same week?

"You were lucky that they failed to identify you. If that'd happen, it would be a huge scandal to this school"

But identifying her didn't matter — since the stranger already managed to identify Remi. Both of them seemed to have some kind of connection indirectly

"I'm sorry sir. It won't happen again" Said Sera while bowing her head

"But" Vaughn continued "Why did you decide to do this?"

"We believe that that man is connected with EMBER as well"

"We? Who is this 'we' that you're talking about?"
