currently, i'm not going to any protests or rallies cause i either don't, can't, or none are going on in my hometown.
those of you who are going, i wanna give you guys some advice and tips to stay safe.

WEAR A MASK! not only will it help you be less noticeable, COVID-19 is still a thing. Despite this, if you're at a risk of tear gas then it won't help.

▣ hide anything that could make you noticeable. such as tattoos, piercings, dyed hair, etc.

▣ Many are saying milk can help the pain with tear gas, it can lead to infection. water should be used for eyes, throat, and nose.

▣ don't use cellular data, your phone could be tracked. airplane mode is a good idea, and turn off your location services.

▣ take pictures and videos without unlocking your device.

▣ IF YOU POST PHOTOS OR VIDEOS, make sure you blur the face of protester's whole bodies, as it's another way that officers can identify people.

▣ protect your body by wearing gloves, jackets, hats, etc.

▣ bring a first aid kit for if you or someone else gets hurt.

▣ go with someone and make a plan in case you guys somehow get separated.

▣ bring water bottles and snacks.

▣ contacts and tear gas is not good, if you can, wear glasses.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR A PROTEST FIRST AID KIT:

◆ a large waterproof bag

◇ lots and LOTS of band-aids and bandages of every size

◆ a kind of disinfectant

◇ triple antibiotic ointment

◆ scissors

◇ scissors

◆ cloths (bandanas, ace wraps, scrap fabric, etc.)

◇ gloves if possible

call me dramatic or extra, but i just wanna make sure you guys are staying safe throughout all of this.

thanks for reading
