A couple of months later
Namjoon's POV
"Ayanna's birthday is coming up and we need to start practicing-" I announce to the guys in the dining room
"Oh yeah! But how are we going to hide this from her... She sees through almost everything." Taehyung says
"Ahh but when it comes to her, she's utterly clueless, like Yoongi over here-" Jin says
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT?!"
"Yah! I'm only stating facts. There have been times where we've prepared surprises for you right in front of your eyes and you didn't even bother to notice them" Jin says as he waves his chopsticks towards Yoongi
"Touché" Yoongi says as he takes a sip of Sprite
"Where are we doing this again?" Taehyung asks
"I asked our location scouts in the MV department about an ideal location and try have a couple of places in mind. I'm going to go down there today to decide" I say to which Tae says he's going to tag along.
"Okay okay okay... Who's going to stand in for her during practice?" Hobi says and all of us turn to Jimin
"OH COME ON! She's shorter than me! It wouldn't be accurate!"
"Jimin it is then!" Taehyung says as he pats his back "it's for Ayanna... Come on!"
He sighs as he reluctantly agrees.
"We will practice from today..." Hobi declares and everyone agrees
"Oh and Jungkookie?"
"Hmm?"
"Do you have any ideas on how we could record all of this?"
His eyes sparkle as he starts thinking of ways
"I'm sure I can figure something out!" He says with a grin
....
"Where are you going now?" She asks with a pout.
It was a Sunday and I told her I was going for practice
"What for? You literally have nothing coming up"
"We don't EVER stop practicing... You should know that by now" I say, making a big show as I grab my coat and head out of her apartment.
She sighs before she calls after me and tells me to not injure myself
I go to the wardrobe department and ask the stylist noonas about the dress I had told them about and they had managed to find the perfect one.
I thanked them profusely as I picked it and took it back to my dorm, hiding it in my cupboard.
....
We practiced hard, twirling Jimin around the dance floor, Taehyung being his dance partner when it was his turn to lead.
Hobi declared us good to go two days before the actual thing.
I requested her boss to leave her early on her birthday and he agreed, considering we were mostly free for a while.
She had no idea about all this and I felt a tad bit like an evil genius for plotting all this.
"Why do you have that look on your face?" She says as she looks at me, a reluctant hand on her wine glass that I had forced her to hold on the occasion of her birthday
"What look?"
"That evil grin right there. What are you planning, Mr Kim Namjoon?"
"Ahh nothing... Nothing at all Ms. Ayanna"
