Chapter 46- Late Afternoon

Drews Pov:

I walked down the stairs, rubbing my eyes to wake up better.

I walked into the living room, seeing everyone besides Lily sprawled out on the couches.

Callie looked half-asleep as she laid her head on Jacksons shoulder. Jackson was playing some game on his phone.

Peyton was fast asleep on Alexs lap, while Alex sleeplessly played with her hair.

Jessica fell asleep on Parkers shoulder, while Paerker dozed on and off ontop Jessicas head.

Stacey and Leo were both listening to music, as they cuddled.

I sat down on the chair, breathing out a sigh of comfort. The floor isn't the best place to sleep.

"Did she keep you guys up too?" I asked exhausted.

The ones that were awake nodded slowly.

"Shes never had nightmares before." Callie said.

"I never knew someone could scream that loud." Parker said.

"I must have woken up 5 times." Leo said, with his eyes still closed.

"Try 7 times." Jackson butted in and I growled down on him.

I still haven't forgave him for what he had done and said.

"I wonder how your parents dealt with the screaming?" Callie wondered aloud.

"She had a sound proof door." I explained.

"Oh." She said, and then looked to the ceiling. "I just wish I could do anything to help her."

"Believe me, I have tried asking her. She just needs some time." I exclaimed sadly.

"Is she purposely keeping herself upsatirs?" Leo asked.

"She wanted to come down, but she looked so god damn tired I told her to stay in bed for the day." I said.

"So she's still sleeping?" Callie asked.

"Yeah." I said.

It became quiet in the room and I decided to take a nap while I can.

The minute my eyes shut, was the onlt minute I got.

Lilys screams pierced through our sensitive ears, waking all of us from our slumper.

I sighed and got up, and jogged to the stairs, skipping every other step.

I ran to my door, swinging open the door to see my mate thrashing, in her sleep, ontop the bed.

I used super-werewolf speed to get to her.

"Lily." I whispered, hopefully she would calm down, but it didn't work.

I grabbed her wrists, pulling them to both her sides.

If you didn't know about us, you would think i was raping her the way we were positioned.

It was the only way to make her stop.

"Lily." I said in a soft voice again.

She screamed one more time, wailing at the end.

"Lily!" I yelled this time.

Her eyes jolted awake, breathing heavily. Tears ran down the sides of her face.

I let go of her wrists and sat on the side of the bed, brushing away her tears.

"Shhh. It was just a nightmare." I cooed.

She soon began to sob helplessly.

I brought her into my arms and rubbed her back soothingly.

"You l-left." She muttered as she cried.

My eyes teared up as soon as I heard it.

"Shhh. I'm right here. I'm never going to leave you." I promised.

"You promise?" She asked, desperately.

"I promise with all of my heart." I said, and I meant every word of it.

She hugged me tighter and soon began to stop crying.

"Come on." I said, gently.

I unwrapped my arms from around her petite body.

I layed her back down on her side of the bed, her eyes never looking my way, I placed the blanket over her.

I kissed her forehead and I was about to take a shower before she called out to me.

"Drew?" She called out.

I turned around, showing her I had my attention.

"Can you lay with me?" She asked.

I nodded my head and jumped into my side of the bed.

I wrapped my arms around Lily, as she snuggled into my chest.

I missed her. I missed sleeping with her, being with her.

Before she fell into a deep slumber, I heard her mutter, "I love you."

I kissed her forehead with so much passion and whispered back, "I love you."

She smiled in her sleep, almost on habit, as she softly kissed my collar bone.

I smiled down on her and breathed in her honey-woodsy scent.
