It is suffocating,
How all these people expect so much from me-
And if I don't meet the expectations
I am a disappointment.
I am sorry for not fulfilling them,
I was busy trying to meet mine.
Trying not to listen to those voices,
That tell me end my life.
I am sorry for not paying attention,
I was trying to lift the stone in my heart,
That lowers me down.
I am sorry for not talking much,
I was trying to shut those voices in my head,
They say I am not cared for.
I am sorry for disappointing you
I was trying to love myself,
To embrace all my flaws.
I am sorry for running away,
I was running from those demons,
That blinded me and would take away my hope,
Take away all my light.
I am sorry I don't say that I love you enough,
I can't when I don't love myself
I try to show it instead.
Just wait,
And I will come back high
When I win the war in my mind
I will love myself then-
I would be satisfied!
I would be me again
