It's feeling like a burden to others,
It pushing everyone away from yourself
because you are afraid of hurting them.
Being myself isn't only about
Acting like how I want to,
It's about moving forward in life
without letting the past bind me back.
Loving myself isn't about just loving how I am,
It's about accepting myself with love,
It's about smiling as I look at myself in the mirror,
It's about falling asleep without my mind filled with self-hatred,
None of these are easy to do,
But they aren't impossible either.
Everyday take small steps towards them,
Everyday, even if it's half a step,
move closer to reaching these goals.
