Chapter 8

It's been one month and you and Peter are doing great together, not only in a relationship but fighting crime together. Today is your Peter's one month anniversary and Peter is taking you out to a movie drive in, but before going anywhere you and Peter were going to give each other gifts. You were getting ready in your room, putting on a white tank top with a black knee length skirt and black high top converse, you rarely wore skirts but felt like today would be a great occasion to wear one. A knock came to your room while you were finishing up doing your hair. You walked over and opened the door, there was no one around, but on the floor was a line of your favorite flowers leading outside, you grabbed your gift for Peter before leaving, as you walked in the direction of the flowers you picked each one of them up until you got to the front door. That is when you saw your boyfriend in all his glory with his back to you in a black hoodie with light blue jeans and converse. You walked out the door and he turned around with a bag in his hand as his eyes widened at the sight of you. "B-baby, woah, you look gorgeous" he said in awe as he picked you up in a hug twirling you around, "Well you don't look too bad yourself Mr.Parker" you said as you pecked his lips. You put the flowers to the side and held your bag up, "So you or me first?" you asked, "You can go first actually, mine is sort of long" "Ok?" you laughed, "Sooo, recently you told me how you broke your camera and that you had a lot of pictures saved in it that you would probably never get back...soooo uncle Bruce and I were able to salvage all the photos and transfer them onto this here new camera aaaaaand it has a great amount of memory storage in it." you said as you handed him the bag and he got out the present.

Peter's smile went from ear to ear, he was so unbelievably happy about the new camera that he just was speechless. "Wo-wow Y/N! Thank you! This is the best gift ever!" he said as he started messing with the camera like a little kid messing with a new toy. He put it back in the bag and got his gift. "Ok...so my gift has a two in one deal" he said as you took out a small box from the bag and opened it was a necklace with the pendant of a spider attached to it. "Awww Peter this is-" "Wait there's more!" He said stopping you from talking, he took the necklace and put it on your neck, fitting you perfectly, "if you press the abdomen of the Spider right here, it holographically shows a five minute video of just pictures of us and videos we've taken, I put some in there of when we dated back in high school and of recent ones too and I put a special message at the end..." his voice trailed off as he looked up into your eyes and saw tears start to form, but they weren't tears of sadness, they were tears of happiness. He caressed your cheek and swiped the tears away from your face. "Baby what's wrong?" he asked now having engulfed you into a hug, "I-I just" you sniffled, "I love this present so much Peter, I'll always have something to carry around with me when I miss you, thank you, thank you so much" you hugged him tighter as he kissed your forehead and rubbed your sides up and down. This embrace was warm and welcoming, it was everything you could ever ask for, Peter was everything you could ever ask for.

"Now how about we go catch that movie?" He said as he looked down at you while still holding you in a hug, you nodded and both walked hand in hand over to the truck that Tony had given to Peter when he graduated high school. The drive in was only a couple of minutes away from the tower, the movie that was playing was 'The Proposal' with Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock, it was always a classic romcom movie, perfect for a one month anniversary date. You situated pillows and blankets on the back of the truck while Peter went to get some popcorn and drinks. As soon as Peter came back the movie started, there weren't that many vehicles due to drive-in movies not being as popular anymore, but you always had an old school heart and enjoyed drive-ins a lot more. You felt as if they were a lot more intimate and real. You laid your head on Peter's shoulder and Peter intertwined your hand with his and put it in his lap, occasionally lifting it up to kiss your hand. Everything was perfect.
