Crusader Returns

Chapter 4

"Breaking and entering is against the law!" you spoke up and the person turned and faced you and Peter and smiled. "Crusader and Spider-Man, pleasure to finally meet you both, I was actually looking for the formula that your boyfriend Spider-Man uses for his webs" "Why do you want the formula, and who are you?" spoke up Peter as he got in front of the shield, "Ah, how rude of me, my name is Doctor Oct, I'm looking for the formula so that I could make it one of the deadliest materials made, if I'm able to inject it into at least one spider, then everyone is done for in this city and I will soon rule all of New York!" he laughed evilly, "Alright well listen here Doc, you're not getting anything from us, so don't make us take you out the hard way" Peter warned, you rolled your eyes, "Peter get behind the shield" you whispered but he didn't listen. Doc Oct smirked as he took out a blaster and aimed it towards Peter, as he shot it you blocked his body and yours with the shield. "Stop threatening him like that!" you hissed as you got back up to look at the villain. "Crusader, you were always an intriguing fellow, it's too bad your mother left you" "Nothing you say will make me crack Doc Oct" you said, "Not even this!" and as he said that one of his metal arms had slid through the floor and gotten a hold of Peter's leg and was now dangling him upside down. "No!" you screamed as you threw your shield at Doc Oct but he managed to crush the little damage resistance it had left.

The villain then aimed a gun towards Peter's head and your breath hitched, "Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't your dear Pietro die from bullets?" he laughed maniacally, while you gritted your teeth. During that time, Peter was able to take the gun out of Doc Octs hands and toss it over at you, you caught it and shot at Doc Oct's leg, that made him let go of Peter. At that time the Avengers came into the room and Wanda immediately took over his body and tossed out the window. Tony sighed, "Well, not only do I have to replace the window now, but you just let him escape" Wanda shrugged. "Dad!" you said going over to hug Steve, "Y/N are you ok? What happened?" Peter then proceeded to explain to them everything that had happened from the time the villain came into the tower, they all listened attentively to Peter. "Ok, remind me to always leave at least one adult in the tower from now on, in case something like this ever happens again" Tony stated "As for you two, good job at putting your differences aside to work together as a team, we would love to have the Crusader Spider-Man duo be a thing again" he said hopeful that you and Peter would agree, you sighed loudly, "I would be ok with that" you said, Peter eyed you from the corner and nodded in confirmation that he too would be ok with that. "Well then it's settled, you two will be patrolling Queens every once in a while now. Ok everyone, it's getting late and we should all head to bed now, except you two...you need a shower" he said holding his nose. You playfully rolled your eyes and walked out of the lab and into your room to shower.

To say the shower was much needed was an understatement, it was one of the only things that could relax your tensed muscles after everything that just happened. You went into your room wrapped up in your towel, getting out clothes to go to sleep in. As you opened your closet you saw Peter's old hoodie he had given you, you smiled at the memories it brought to you, the first time Peter had really complimented you. "it's fine, keep it, it looks a lot better on you then it does on me anyway", you snapped out of your thoughts when you heard a knock on your door, "It's open!" you said as you continued to look for clothes to sleep in. "You forgot your gloves in the training roo-OH MY GOSH I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE CHANGING I'M SO SORRY!" Peter said as he covered his eyes with his hands, you giggled as you made your way over to him and grabbed your stuff from his hand, "Thanks Pete!" you said and then halted at the name you had used, "Peter, thank you Peter..." "I uh- yea...bye" he said as he tried to leave your room but bumped into the wall really hard. "Ooo, that sounds like it's going to leave a bruise, just wait until I'm done changing and I can heal you, I won't be long" you said as you made your way into the bathroom and changed. Meanwhile Peter uncovered his eyes and felt his cheeks fluster from having seen you like that. He walked around your room and saw that you still had the telescope from when he had told you he bought you guys a star. He looked through it and fair enough it was pointing at the star he had bought, he smiled at the memory. "and if you look through this telescope, you'll be able to see it". You got up and looked into the scope, you saw many different stars but the one in the center of the image was yours and Peter's star. "P-pete, I-I'm, just wow, I- I don't even know what to say, this is amazing! I love it so much! Oh my goodness we have a star!" you squealed with happiness and gave Peter a tight hug.

"It's set up to look at our star" you said coming out of the bathroom in a loose top and a pair of spandex. Peter turned to look at you and was in awe with your body, he always was whenever he looked at you. You could feel him looking at you, "Ok umm, here lie down so I can take a proper look at the bruise" he nodded and he laid down on the bed as you knelt besides it, you took a look at his head and saw the bruise was already starting to form, luckily, you could it. "Well, good thing is this isn't as bad as the first bruise I gave you when I whacked my shield on your head to let me go" you giggled as you had put your hand on his head and started the healing process. Peter chuckled, "Gosh I so remember that, we were kissing and then out of nowhere, whack! And I was knocked unconscious" "Well I had to distract you in some way to catch you off guard" you defended as you continued to smile, "and it worked" he smiled. Then a comfortable silence sat between the both of you.
