Chapter 1

"Bye Shuri, thanks for the ride to the tower, I'll miss you so much!" you said giving her a tight hug with your suitcases by your side. "You are welcome to come visit us anytime, you'll always have a room in Wakanda" she said smiling as she got in the car and drove away. You walked into the tower and walked into the living room to see everyone but Tony watching a movie. You smiled at seeing your family again. "Hey guys!" you said startling them. "Y/N!" they said getting off the couch and getting you into a group hug. "Aww I missed you all so much too, you guys have to catch me on to what's been happening around the tower" you said as they let go of you, you asked where Tony was and they said the lab and that they'll take your stuff to your room. You smiled at them gratefully and made your way to the lab to see Tony. You got there as he was working on upgrades for his suit. "Hi Uncle Tony!" you said startling him, "Kid I swear you'll give me a heart attack one day, come here" he said getting up to hug you, "Gosh uncle I've missed New York so much, so what are you up to" "Well, just working on updates for the suit, just because I'm getting old doesn't mean the suit should" he said laughing.

"Hey Mr.Stark, I was thinking about some updates for the suit, specifically to the webs, if we add more power to the taser webs that'll-" you turned around saw Peter walk in. He looked...different, he wasn't wearing his usual science shirt with a pair of jeans and sneakers, he had on a black leather jacket with a black shirt and black jeans with black dress boots, and his hair had grown a bit shorter. Peter stopped talking when he looked at you, he looked surprised yet hurt, as if a bunch of memories came rushing back when he looked at you. You looked at his hands and he was still wearing the ring, and so were you. You snapped out of your thoughts once Peter turned around and walked out the lab, slamming the door behind him. Tears started welling up in your eyes and you let them slide down your face, to say that watching him leave didn't hurt you was a lie, you still loved him, you touched your ring to let his heat up. Peter was walking to his room when he felt his finger heat up, it was you who made his finger heat up, he screamed and punched the wall next to him creating a huge hole. He was finally starting to get over you and you had to come back and screw his feelings up again, but if he was finally getting over you why was he still wearing the ring?

As the day went by you went over to visit MJ to surprise her that you were back in New York, it was Saturday. You and MJ went to the mall to shop for some new clothes, MJ told you everything you missed out on at school and how the football team didn't do that great last year because they didn't have anyone to lead them. You asked her how her and Joey were doing and she said that they were doing great, that it would be two years in about a month. You were really happy for her and Joey, you were so excited to see everyone again. You explained to her what happened at the tower with Peter, you could sense her tense up but didn't bother to worry about what it was about. "He was probably just in shock of seeing you" "Maybe, he changed his whole style too, those shirts or sweaters he used to wear with the science puns, he wasn't wearing it yesterday, he was wearing all black, it's almost as if he's not the same." MJ just shrugged. The day was over soon enough and Sunday came around, you decided to spend this day with everyone at the Avengers Tower to explain your experience at Wakanda to them. You explained to them how you had more control over your healing powers and the skills you learned from Okoye and Black Panther and that you would gladly teach them one day if they wanted to. They were all so proud of you and were really happy to have you back, you were a calmer person and seemed genuinely happy, they were just worried at what your reaction may be when you see Peter at the tower the next day.
