The boy scoffed, "Gemma, I don't know a lot about fashion or what girls do to look good, but I know that you're going to look fucking amazing. Do you feel like a dress is where you belong?"
With no hesitation, the girl nodded. "Absolutely."
"Then go try it on," was all the advice Norman offered and it was the only advice Gemma needed as she stood and went into the fitting room.
When she came out, biting her lip with nerves and holding onto the tulle of the skirt, Norman was awed. It was clear the other girls were as well. It was a dress the color of a cherry blossom tree with flowers embroidered on the top and at the waistline, matching perfectly with the faded pink on the ends of Gemma's bleach-blonde hair. In her reflection as she faced the mirror, Norman could see the girl beginning to tear up. No words had to be said as the three of them grabbed her in a hug.
At that moment, there were no treasure hunts or crushes or sexuality crises. It was just them feeling good and being happy for each other which meant everything to Norman. He had gotten so caught up in the adventure he almost left behind what was the most important thing in his life.
"Okay, okay, enough of the emotions! I can't take it, let's go wear our normal people clothes now, please," Gemma said with a laugh as she wiped her cheeks and admired herself in the mirror. "Besides, we can't spend all day here, we have to go pick up Rocky's suit, sheesh, stop making things about me."
Alisha scoffed, "Shut up, we all look fucking hot. You too, Rocky."
"Aw, thanks!" he joked, ruffling the girl's dark locks just enough to make her smack his hand before fixing her hair in the mirror. "All right, now come on ladies, we got places to be!"

this chapter is literally so short but its mainly a filler to get more into norman's relationship with the girls and also to set up the next chapter which will probably end up being longer than usual because i have a lot to get through so just bear with me because i do these things for a reason not just because I'm exhausted from work that i didn't feel like writing the full length chapter right now however that definitely is part of it
