Kaminari peaked out from between his fingers, something Hitoshi would've found quite cute if he wasn't trying to calm himself. He mustered up all his strength and gave a tiny smile.
"Okay." He really had a way with words. Now it was the blond's turn to be shocked, and not just from his lack of poeticness.
"What?" he asked, as though he couldn't understand the concept of Shinsou agreeing.
"That's fine, this can be a date if you want." It took all his willpower for Shinsou to keep his voice even. Denki looked a little perplexed at that.
"You make it sound like you're just doing what I want. If you're not okay with it it's fine, really." Crap. He made it sound like he didn't want this to be a date? Fix this! he told himself.
"N-no! I didn't mean it like that." He scratched his neck, cursing himself for stuttering. "What I meant to say was, I'd like that." Denki beamed.
"That's great because I'd probably have cried if you rejected me." The two laughed, starting to walk again, chatting much more easily now that the big question was answered and out of the way.
As they neared the cafe, Shinsou felt like this was all going too fast. He wanted to have so much more time to talk to Denki, to get to know him better. When he voiced this, Kaminari chuckled.
"That's what the second date's for," he said, winking at the taller man. Shinsou would have blushed if he weren't laughing so hard. He just couldn't take that silly wink seriously. Denki pouted.
"Oh, come on! That was smooth!" He tried to act angry, though he failed and joined Shinsou in his laughing fit. It was then that they reached Denki's workplace, and then that Mina burst out the door, clearly upset.
"Denki! I said only one hour!" she scolded. "You've been gone for almost two! I'm gonna tell Sero about this!" Kaminari immediately shot up.
"If you do that I'm gonna tell him about you stealing cookies from the dessert case! Don't think I don't see you doing that when grabbing them for customers!" Mina had the decency to look a little guilty.
"Fine. But don't expect me to cover your shift like that next time. I'm never doing that again. I had to deal with the afternoon flood of people," Mina said, hands on her hips. Denki nodded.
"I am sorry, Mina. But thanks for covering for me!" He smiled that signature smile of his, the one that could kill an army, or in this case Shinsou, and the pink girl had no choice but to forgive him, giving a soft smile of her own before heading back inside, leaving Shinsou and Kaminari to themselves for a moment before the two knew she would come to yell at them again.
"So, you mentioned a second date?" Shinsou asked, earning a giggle from his blond. Wait, no. Could he even say that yet? It was probably way too early, he should stop thinking like that.
"If you want," Denki answered. Shinsou nodded.
"I would." Denki smiled at that. Shinsou would never get over how adorable that smile was. He loved it already, and he had barely known him for two days.
"Hey, Denki--" Shinsou started, stepping a little closer before he was very rudely interrupted by another loud blond man with Kirishima following quickly behind.
"Move it, extras," he said, pushing the two out of the way. Shinsou huffed.
"Hello to you, too, you angry pomeranian!" Denki called back as the two started to enter the shop. Bakugou stopped and turned around, a small explosion emitting from his hand before Kirishima grabbed him, pulling him back.
"Come on, bro, it isn't worth it. Let's just go get some hot chocolate, yeah?" Bakugou grumbled something along the lines of 'stupid dunce face' before heading inside. Only Kirishima could tame the beast that was Bakugou. The redhead smiled slightly at Denki and Hitoshi. Kaminari mouthed a 'thank you' before Kirishima disappeared into the cafe.
"I should go before Mina comes back out," Denki said, laughing nervously. Shinsou nodded.
"Alright. You still owe me that second date, though." He risked a wink at the end, feeling a bit silly, though it seemed to have the right effect on Denki.
"Y-you got it," he stuttered out, cheeks red. It was cute.
"Text me, then?" Shinsou asked as he started to walk away. He didn't want to leave, but he had things to do. That didn't mean he wouldn't procrastinate on them later and text the blond man instead, though.
"Definitely." Kaminari grinned. "Have a great day, Shinsou!" The taller man smiled.
"You too." He started to walk away but stopped, turning back. "Oh, and Denki? Call me Hitoshi."
