Capítulo Veintidos

"Ma!" saway muli ni Raphael sa ina pero hindi na lang siya pinansin ni tita.

I didn't expect that the lunch I have with Raphael turned out to be like this.

"Do you know Karen na may client iyan si Raphael si Cebu? Ang alam ko ay may meeting sila sa susunod na linggo. Hindi ba't taga-roon ka at balak mong umuwi pansamantala, pwede kang sumabay na lang kay Raphael," tita suggested.

Napabuntong-hininga na lamang ako sa inaasta niya.

"Nakakahiya naman po tita kay Raphael. Lalo pa at may girlfriend siya," nakangiting saad ni Karen.

"No, hija. Of course Victorina won't mind." Then tita turned to me. "Di ba, Victorina?"

I just gave her a smile.

I looked at Raphael and I can see that he looks irritated on what his mother doing. Halata naman kasi na inilalakad ni tita ang ex-girlfriend ni Raphael upang magkabalikan sila.

When Raphael's eyes found mine, it softens and he mouthed sorry to me in which I gave him a smile not to worry about it.

I trust Raphael. Kahit ex niya pa si Karen, I am sure that there is nothing going on between them. It is just...tita Fiona is too persistent to break me and Raphael apart. This is not the first time she makes such stunt.

I excused myself as I need to go to the comfort room. After I did my thing, I just looked at myself at the mirror and smile.

Even if my lunch date with my boyfriend is ruined, it is still not an enough excuse for me to feel irritated. I am Raphael's girlfriend and no one can change that. No one can make me feel less confident about our relationship.

Pabalik na ako sa chair ko nang matanaw ko na nag-uusap si Raphael at Karen. Of course they will talk lalo pa at matagal na silang walang communication sabi ni Raphael sa akin dati.

Magpapatuloy na sana akong muli sa paglalakad when suddenly, tita Fiona is now standing at my side.

"Do you see how they look so good together?" she asked but I remained silent.

"Hindi magtatagal ay mamahalin ulit ng anak ko si Karen. And you, you will be like a trash that my son will going to be tossed soon."

I turned my head just to looked at her. I smiled genuinely that made her smile fades.

"I don't think that you, playing cupid to your son's love life will succeed."

Tiningnan kong muli ang table namin at doon ko natagpuan ang mga mata ni Raphael na matamang nakatingin sa amin.

He smiled when he saw me smiled at him. I walked towards the table with a smile on my face still.

The moment I said to myself that I am willing to fight my love for Raphael, I also vowed that I am going to give my full trust on him and his love for me.

"Are you ok?" he asked as he holds my hand.

I looked at the man I love and in there, I saw worriedness visible in his eyes.

"Ang dami na pala nating napagdaanang dalawa."

Tumango siya. "Oo nga. I'm glad that even though mama wasn't fully healed yet, she is trying to accept our relationship."

"Yeah. At least she's being civil with me," I said giving him a small smile.

I hope someday, maging close rin kami ni tita Fiona although hindi ko naman minamadali iyon. Ilang pakiusap din ang hiningi niya sa akin pero hindi ko talaga kayang bitawan ang anak niya.

I love Raphael so much that I'm willing to face every storm as long as we are together.

"Ang daya nga eh. You are so close to my parents na."

"They are fun to be with. Especially, tito Felipe. Ramdam kong bumabawi silang dalawa sa akin sa naibintang nila dati kay papa."

"My parents wasn't that bad, Raphael. Nagkamali lang talaga sila ng time na iyon."

"I know," he said as he gave me a smile.

Unti-unti na ring bumabalik ang relationship ko sa parents ko. I said my apologies too them and they'd ask for forgiveness also na agad ko namang ibinigay. Who am I to hold grudges anyway especially to my parents?

Ganoon din sila kay Raphael. Ang weird nga eh kasi parang si Raphael pa 'yong nagmukhang anak nila. They are spoiling him so much na kahit si Raphael ay nahihiya na sa parents ko.

They really do like him for me. Kahit nang first time na ipakilala ko pa lamang siya to my parents, I'm glad that they like him so much for me.

Their fondness of him is remarkable.

"Sana maging kasingtatag din ang relasyon natin tulad ng kay kuya at Luisana."

"Of course, it will. As long as we are together, nothing can break us apart."

"I love you, Raphael."

"I love you too, Victorina," he said and by that he stood up and walk towards me and cupped my face just to give me my kiss under the starry sky and luminous moon. He deepened the kiss that made my grip at him tightened. His fiery kisses made me feel like there is no tomorrow.

I am willing to face the world as long as I have my man by my side.
