Chapter Three

Jaxon's P.O.V.

As Abigail sat beside me in the SUV I realized how adorable she was, she kept looking around outside all curious. It was starting to get dark, "Are we almost there yet?" She asked. "About twenty more minutes." I replied. By the time we would get back it would be dark, we'd eat dinner and go to bed. I was looking forward to being home, yes I was more than happy that I'd found my mate but as an Alpha I felt more calm around my home and pack. All of a sudden I felt sparks on my leg, Abigail was poking me. As I looked down at her I realized how much smaller she was than me. I looked at her face to see what she wanted. "What if the pack doesn't like me, I mean I'm kind of young to be a Luna. What if they don't want me there?" She asked quietly, although everyone else in the vehicle could also hear. At first I didn't think she was serious and then I saw the worried look on her face and realized she really thought that they wouldn't like her. "They're going to love you, trust me. And if they don't they can deal with me. You have nothing to be worried about." I told her. She nodded. "If anything they're all going to be happy that your there, Jax has been somewhat of an ass here lately because he didn't have a mate. Now he has you he won't bite everyone's head off." My Beta Luke who sat beside Abigail said. I shot him a glare, but as he said it Abigail laughed. It was the cutest sound, and it honestly made it hard for me to be aggervated at him. "Well how was he supposed to know where I was? Besides I just shifted last night its not his fault." She said defending me. I smiled a little, she was perfect. As we pulled into my pack house, most of the lights were off everyone was most likely asleep. I grabbed Abigail's suitcase from the back and led her inside. "You hungry?" I asked. I was sure she was, she had only ate a sandwich when we stopped for lunch and she didn't eat much for breakfast. "A little." She replied. We walked to the kitchen along with the pack members who came with me. I had asked the chef to leave some leftovers for us. The food was left at the table we heated it and began to eat. At the pack house we all ate dinner together at a huge table, every pack house did it this way its was just another way to show that we were family. After we finished I took Abigail upstairs to her room, it was right across from mine. I of course of wanted her to sleep with me but I didn't want it to be too much for her. "Um here is your room, mine is right here if you need anything. The rest of you'd things will be here tomorrow." I explained to her. She nodded, "Well thank you, and goodnight." She said. I gave her, her luggage and headed off to bed. "Goodnight." I forced myself to say, I wanted to take her with me so bad, but I made myself walk away. I opened my door and went in leaning against the back of it, this was going to be rough.

Abigail's P.O.V.

I woke up in a huge bed and then remembered where I was, Jaxon's house. I had slept pretty decently I mean it was a long trip last night. I wanted to sleep with Jaxon but that would be too much for me in think, I mean I had just met him yesterday so in a way I was glad that he had given me a separate room.I got up and almost instantly froze my feet off, the hardwood floors were so cold. I practically ran to the bathroom where my luggage was to take a shower. The bathroom was gorgeous, double sinks, a huge shower and tub it was so pretty. I quickly took a shower wrapping myself in a big fluffy towel, and walked back into my room taking my luggage with me. I put on some clothes just an easy outfit, jeans and a flowy tank top. I put my hair up into a tight bun and headed downstairs. As soon as I walked outside the door I ran into someone. "Oh my gosh I am so sorry!" I said quickly. "Who the hell are you?" She said rudely. "Um, Abigail." I told her. "Why are you here, and in that room?" She was so rude, such a bitch. As soon as I thought that Jaxons door opened. "What's going on out here?" He asked, he was wearing jeans and a black T-shirt and looked heavenly. "Jaxon this girl just came running out of here and knocked me completely down." The girl lied, and layed her hands on his arm. Before I knew what was happening a growl tore its way out of my throat, my wolf was surfacing and ready to tear her apart for touching our mate. He looked at me worriedly and came over to me quickly, wrapping his arm around my waist, whispering into my hair. "Hey hey. Its fine calm down okay? I'm yours." He assured us. Since I had just gotten my wolf yesterday I'm a lot more testy than other wolves. My breathing had gotten heavy and I was shaking. Jaxon ran his hands up and down my arms, the shocks ran through my whole body calming me and my wolf. "You okay now?" He asked once I had stopped. I nodded, "Now Abigail, what happened?" He asked me, but looking at the both of us. "I was headed downstairs, and I had no idea someone was behind the door and I accidentally hit her. I apologized but she was automatically rude to me. I really didn't aim to it was an accident." I explained to Jaxon looking up at him. "Alexis apologize." He said to the girl. "You've got to be kidding, I'm not going to apologize to this kiss ass, I don't even know who she is." This time Jaxon was the one to growl, the girl jumped back obviously scared. "She is your Luna and you will not disrespect her. Now apologize." Jaxon said, well more like growled in his Alpha tone. Alexis's head bowed. "Yes Alpha. I'm sorry Luna." That was weird to hear, it was going ro take a while to get used to people calling me that. "Let's go get some breakfast, Alexis go on to your training." Jaxon said stiffly. She nodded and walked down the stairs, Jaxon and I following behind. "I'm sorry." I told him, I didn't want him to be mad at me. He looked at me confused. "Why are you apologizing?" He asked. "I don't want to cause trouble, and I don't want you to be mad at me." I replied quietly looking at the ground. Jaxon grabbed my arm and stopped me, he lifted my chin to look at him. "You have nothing to be sorry about. You didn't do anything wrong and I'm not mad at you. I'm upset with Alexis, yes she didn't know who you were but there was no excuse to talk to anyone like that. She will be punished. If any one needs to apologize its me, I'm sorry she acted like that. " He said sweetly. "Its okay really." He shook his head, "No its not. Your my mate and I'm not going to let people talk to you like that." I nodded this time and he smiled a little. "Now let's go eat, I'm starving I don't know about you." I then realized that I would be eating with most of the pack, that kind of freaked me out. If Alexis acted like that how would they act towards me. Jaxon could sense that something was wrong, he asked what was wrong. "Do you think maybe we could just eat somewhere just us? I'm not sure if I'm ready to meet everyone else after that." I asked lowly. He tensed up, "Whatever makes you most comfortable. We can eat in my office, I have some paper work to do anyways." "Thank you." I said gratefully. We walked into the kitchen where there was a ton of breakfast foods layed out. Jaxon handed me a plate, "Get whatever you like. I'm going to go talk to Luke for a second. Let him know that we're going to be in my office." I nodded. I grabbed some of the pancakes and pilled fruit on top along with some bacon and a piece of toast. I also grabbed a glass and poured some orange juice from the pitcher that was also there. I saw the chef standing there and walked up to her, "Um hi. I was going to fix Jaxon a plate but I'm not sure what he likes could you maybe help me out?" I asked. Then I realized that she had no idea who I was, "Oh I'm Abigail by the way, Jaxon's mate." Her yes went wide, "Luna its so nice to meet you, I'm Jada. I'd be glad to help you." So she pilled a plate full of Jaxon's favorites and put it on a tray along with another glass of juice and my breakfast after I told her that we were going to be eating in his office. As soon as we had finished Jaxon came to the kitchen, "I asked her to help me get you a plate. I hope that's okay." I said to him. He smiled taking the tray from me. "Thank you. You ready?" He now asked me. "Uh huh." I said ad he now led us to his office. We sat down at his couch. "You do know that you'll have to see them all eventually right?" He asked as we sat down. "I know I just don't want a repeat of what just happened." I told him. I already knew what he was going to say. "It'll be fine. Like I told you Alexis will be punished, and so will anyone else who treats you like that." I could tell by the sound of his voice he was frustrated with me. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you upset." I told him taking a bite of my pancakes. He shook his head, "Its fine. Like I said I have some paper work to do but once I'm finished I'll take you on a tour of the house. But I do have a meeting later on that I have to go to." I nodded back. "Alright." I wanted to spend more time with him but he was an alpha there were things that he had to do it was his job I got that. For a minute we sat in silence and ate. "So did you sleep well? New place and all?" Jaxon asked. I took a sip of juice."Better than I expected, I'm really weird about sleeping but that bed is ridiculously comfortable." I told him. He laughed, "I agree." "So what kind of paperwork do you have to do?" I asked curiously. "Nothing you need to worry about." He replied. "Are you sure? I mean I used to help my dad all the time." I wanted to help people were already going to think I was too young to be a Luna I didn't want them to think that I didn't want to help with the pack either. I thought I saw him smile a little. "Well I'll keep that in mind. But its just school papers for some of the younger kids. Speaking of once school does start back up we'll have to get you enrolled." I groaned. I absolutely hated school. "Do I have to?" I asked taking a bite. He grinned brightly, "Yes you do, although I'm sure I can mange to get you shorter days being Luna and all." "That is going to take some getting used to." I told him. "Well I'm sure it will, but don't worry your going to be an amazing Luna." He said proudly and at that I felt like I actually might.
