We are all home in L.A. I was only going to be here for one week because I was going to Kansas to see my family.
I wash my clothes and repack them in advance.
"Give my wishes to your parents and your brother." Corey says.
"I shall." I reply.
It's finally Friday which means I'll be traveling three hours.
I say goodbye to Corey ,Colby ,Sam and Jake before getting in my car to drive to the airport.
The drive is long and peaceful.
Three hours later and I'm in Kansas city.
I get an uber to my parents house which was another two hours away

Two hours later and i had arrived.
I knock on the door.
"Kaitlin." My mom exclaims embracing me in a tight hug.
Koki and foxy my two dogs jump at my ankles.
I bend down and pat them both on the head before I go in and sit in the living room
"Hey lil sis." Gage my other older brother says as he sits and turns on the TV.
We watch TV for a few hours.
My father enters the room.
"K, heard you were here." He says putting his hand out for a fist bump.
We get talking.
"So how come you didn't come home for Christmas with your brother this year." My father asks.
"Well as you know my childhood friend ,jordie ,of all people betrayed me and I actually wanted to enjoy my Christmas without bumping into him." I answer.
"Fair enough well you better be coming next year." He says.
"Of course." I answer.
The week goes quick, it's already Wednesday and I volunteered to walk the dogs in the pouring rain.
I walked down the path to the field.
We get to the field, I take a tennis ball out of my back pack unclip the dogs leashes from their collars and throw the ball. They go after the ball tails wagging.
A few throws of the ball later I feel a tap on my shoulder.
I turn around to see Jordie.
"what the hell do you want." I say bitterly.
"To say sorry." he answers.
"It's months to late for that." I say and clip the dogs back on their leash and walk away.
I get home and sit grumpily on the sofa. Foxy places her chocolate
coloured head on my lap and looked up at me.
"what's wrong with you?" Gage asks.
I explain what happened in the field.
"One why were you in the field it's muddy and two how dare he." He replies.

It was my last day in Kansas and we were going for a meal all togher.
We all get in mom's car mom in the front with dad and me and Gage in the
back.
We get there.
"Hi I was wondering if you had any tables available." dad asks.
"yeah sure follow me." The waiter says.
We sit and order some drinks.
"Can i take your order." Asks the waiter after we had looked at the menu for a little while.
We order our food and wait.
Me and Gage talk about his band.
"So how's the band going." I ask.
"Not bad but we're not gonna get a record deal any time soon." He answers.
"Well you won't if you don't believe in yourself." I say.
"True." He says.
" Well I don't tell lies bro." I say and we both laugh.
Finally our food is here and we dig in.

It was time to say goodbye.
I pack my stuff into my suitcase and drag it downstairs.
I hug everyone.
"Well until the next time." I say.
"Love you sis." Gage says with a smile.
"Love you too bro." I say. "Love you mom and you dad." I add.
"Love you too." they both say togher.
And I leave.
