A/n: Rereading this, I cringe. And that is why I am editing all of the dang chapters!

Dear, readers, I hope you don't mind the change. I'll just be covering some plotholes here and there and would be adding more detail. Also, I like my new writing style better uwu

Thank you for taking the time to read/re-read this book. I'll try as much as possible to edit everything and maybe make this book "un-hiatus."

Did I use the term correctly?

Eh.

Characters remain unchanged and no new characters will be added. Also, I'm removing the word count. I don't think people care too much about how many words you can cram into a chapter.

Enjoy!

Long ago, there was once a powerful sorceress who was adored and was envied equally. She was rumored to be kind-hearted, brave, and selfless. She made the strangest of friends; from all sizes and all beliefs. She leads a life of wondrous adventures, gaining allies and enemies, and growing with her heart still filled with her young fiery spirit.

Feier was a wicked man, who satisfies himself by draining the strength of the ones below him. When he heard of the sorceress, he immediately packed his bags and sent on the journey to find her.

Their confrontation was more than what anyone could have described. Banter and combat were exchanged and the two seemed an even match. Amid the battle, the sorceress realized she was losing. She quickly sent messengers to her allies and they came promptly to her aid.

Feier has sworn to have the sorceress's head if it was the last thing he would do. The sorceress was afraid. Knowing that their next battle might be their last, she split her soul into three pieces, hoping a hero will come and save the faith of the world.

The first piece was given to the Dragon Council. The second is to the First Ghost King. And the third to a mere villager.

Since they could not hold it, they had gathered materials to solidify it.

The Dragon Council sacrificed the remaining scales of the old elders and melted them with their breath. Wishes and hopes from diverse creatures were gathered to strengthen the item, and it was wrapped in the gentle feathers of the Phoenix. It took the form of a ruby.

The Ghost King asked the Ancients and the Master of Time for help. Father Time gathered the items of the fallen heroes and coated them with his own magic. The Ancients gave the king a fracture of what made them human. And the king, himself, had given up his heart. It was then solidified by the ice of the Far Frozen, with the chief happy to help. It was forged into a sapphire.

The sorceress helped the villager to solidify it, but it was no easy task. He had to climb multiple mountains and face numerous obstacles to acquiring an item: A Tengu's tear. His children volunteered in the task. They each gave the sorceress their childhood belongings, the ones they cherished the most. With the Tengu's tear, it morphed into a topaz.

Indeed, the last battle was their last. But before the sorceress's demise, she cursed Feier and his descendants.

To this day, their curse still remains with no indication of it breaking or a clue on how it could be broken.

Until now.
