I Dont Understand Either

There is a dull ache, a minor pain, it started in the heart and is infecting every vein
"It will be okay"
But it never really was.
Her fears came alive in her eyes
You chose to look but never to see
The way the tears fell every time she breathed

"Did I do something wrong again?"
Always wondering, there is no end

Happiness, but an abstract
An abstract that contorts the face into one of positivity
A face you could never bear to see.
All she wanted was you to be happy

Lets stop time, lets make believe
Lets live this life that was never really made for me.

You never lost me, I was always here
Then again, you cant lose what you never found
You looked once and then turned around

The melancholy etched across your face
Do you want to go? Im sure there is a better place

Is this a mistake? Right or wrong?
What if the flags are red and ...
Cant swim, maybe Im drowning

Is this it? Is there nothing else?
There's a tsunami inside, outside its calm
Rumbling thunder, crashing waves, a cheeky smile plastered on that face
You will never know unless you touch my soul
Or my heart, you know, the one that's cold.
