"You three will be the one in charge in the mayor's son's operation."

My eyes widened when Papa gazed his eyes from me to Ynna and then Kai. He looked serious that I didn't even get the hint why three doctors from the same department should be operating that one patient.

"What's his case again?" Kai asked, averting his gaze to Ynna.

"He was shot in the abdomen. They're doing the CT Scan right now to know if some organs were damaged." Ynna replied.

"What about the other patient?" I am just so curious about the situation right now. 

Medyo kinakabahan pa ako nang tapunan ako ng tingin nina Papa. Inikot ko ang tingin sa kanilang tatlo at nakunot ang noo nang magsalita ulit si Ynna.

Napakamot siya sa batok niya, "He's also in a critical condition. Tumama 'yong bala sa left rib niya."

"Then why do we have to take care of the mayor's son? Mas malala pa pala 'yong condisyon nang kasama niya. Bakit kailangan tatlo kami sa GS Depar--"

"He's a VIP client! His parents ordered the hospital to get the best doctors from the department!" Papa cut me off.

"Then who will take care with the other patient?!" I blurted out. This is the first time that I raised my voice in front of my father.

"There are still other doctors here. He's not the top priori---"

"No! Mas critical pa 'yong condition niya!" I scoffed. "And other doctors?! Papa! Kaming tatlo lang ang professional doctors sa GS Department! The rest were still studying! Tapos gusto mong ipaubaya sa kanila 'yong pasyente?!"

"Ayen," Ynna tried to calm me down by holding my hand. I bet she can felt it trembling, covered with coldness.

"Why are you so mad about it?! Kailan ka pa naging attach sa mga pasyente mo?" Papa looked angry and annoyed at the same time.

"Kung ayaw mo, then Kai will be leading the operation with Ynna being the assistant." Paghahamon niya. "You're not even from the GS department. Lumalaki na yata ang ulo m--"

He stopped talking when he stared at my cold eyes. I don't want to have a bad fight with any of my family members again but I didn't became a doctor just to ignore my patients that's especially in a bad condition.

"Fine." My cold eyes gazed at Kai for a moment. "Let him take my place again. My patient's more important than any position in this hospital."

Winakli ko ang kamay ni Ynna at iniwan sila sa hallway. Mabilis kong nilakad ang Emergency Ward at tinanong ang nurse kung nasaan ang pasyente. 

Tumungo ako sa pinakahuling hospital bed at nilabas ang penlight ko. Nakasuot na siya ng oxygen mask pero hindi pa rin masyadong inaaruga dahil mas inuuna nila 'yong anak ng mayor.
