It was raining hard, and the night sky was illuminated in by the lighting that crashed and shaken the earth.
Soojin was home alone and was sleeping soundly, until she was woken up by a knock at her door.
She went down the stairs and to the door cautiously.
"Who is it?" She called out first
"It's me, Jaehyun" His voice was heard from the other side and Soojin opened the door quickly
He was drenched in water, and his eyes were bloodshot.
"What's wrong? Were you crying?" Soojin said as she was suddenly pulled into a hug
He started to sob in her arms, and all Soojin could do was hold him as he let everything he had out.
"It's all my fault" he kept saying
"What's your fault jaehyun?" Soojin said as she pulled away, holding his face in both her hands to make him look up at her
"That she died, it's all my fault" Soojin froze and just stared into his glossy eyes
Truth be told this was the day that the Ha family had announced Seoyun's death, but Jaehyun failed to realize that Soojin still hasn't heard of it at all.
"Who Jaehyun?" She asked lowly as he cried harder
"Seoyun"

Haechan's suspicions of Jaehyun being bewitched had really been on Sooyoung's mind constantly throughout the entire day.
She knew it may be a possibility but didn't think Soojin was that capable of doing so.
It was the end of the day, and she had stayed after school getting all her missing school work, and waited for her mom to come pick her up.
She was late, and Sooyoung grew impatient, having already called her mom twice, just to not have her answer.
"She must be busy with the banquet" Sooyoung thought to herself and getting out her phone again
She texted Ten, but that didn't make much of a difference since him and Donghan were an Hour away.
"Hey" She turned around to see Lucas walking over to her as it seemed like he just got out of swim practice, his wet hair being evident
"Hey" Sooyoung said giving him a small smile as he returned it towards her
"Are you stranded or something? You look very stressed" He chuckled as she nodded her head softly
"I forgot my mom was busy with the whole lunar banquet, so it looks like I'm stuck here until Ten can pick me up" Sooyoung said as he hummed in response
Lucas and Sooyoung were friendly with eachother, being seat mates in her class, she got to know him and got closer to the closed off boy.
"I could always give you a ride, if you want?" He said as Sooyoung nodded her head quickly, wanting to get out of that school before it turned dark out
"So, your parents will host the lunar banquet this year?" Lucas asked as he drove away from the school
The lunar banquet is an event where all the Alpha families and betas in the area get together and thanked the Moon goddess for their creation.
"Yeah, My parents have been really busy planning it, especially since it's the first time a Siren group has ever hosted it" Sooyoung said
"Are you going?" She asked him as he shrugged his shoulders
"I don't know, my parents want me to set me up with someone to go with, so I rather not deal with that" Lucas said chuckling
"Why would they set you up? Isn't normal for parents of your kind to put off doing so? Especially being a wolf and everything" Sooyoung asked as Lucas tensed up at the mention of a mate
"My mate died, so maybe that's why they are so eager to have me be with someone else" Lucas said softly
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to overstep-"
"I know, and it's okay, It's normal for people to ask those types of questions, I just answered truthfully" Lucas said as he gave her a reassuring look
Then a bleak feeling fell to her throat, realizing the severity of his situation.
"Lucas"
"Mhh?"
"Are you dying?" She asked as he didn't say anything but just nod his head and pulled into her driveway
For werewolves, Mates were you're literal soulmate, and when of them dies, a vital part of you dies along with it, especially if they claimed and grew a strong bond with eachother.
"Sometimes I forget that it's happening, and the littlest things remind me of it, and then I'm set back to reality" Lucas said as they both sat in the car
"I'm sorry-"
"Don't be, I actually feel good telling someone" He said looking over at her, and smiling softly at her
"Look, Lucas, i won't tell anyone" Sooyoung said as she grabbed his hand into her's
"You remind me of her"
"Who?"
"My mate, you remind me of the person she once was, or pretended to be"
