Jangjun helped Sunmi walk into the house, both their body and clothes soaked in water
Sunmi was dazed, her wet black hair covering the sides of her face as they walked into the dinning room, where the guest and her parents all rush to their side.
"Sunmi, Jangjun! What happened" her mother said as she grabbed her daughters face to examine her
Sunmi didn't answer, she just stared at the floor, her eyes had a vacant look to them and she seemed like she wasn't even listening to them.
"Where is Seola?" Her father questioned as they noticed that her sister wasn't with them
"She's dead" Sunmi said lowly as she finally looked at her mother, she had tears in her eyes and her lip quivered
"W-what do you mean dead? Sunmi What happened out there?!" Her mother said with a horrified look
"She killed m-my siren, and I had no choice, and she was going to hurt Jangjun" Sunmi stammered as her father rushed outside, ordering his guards to go with him as they headed towards the lake
"Mrs. Park, I know it sounds crazy but it's true" Jangjun said as Sunmi's mom only choked back a sob and put her hand over her chest
"This can't be happening, not to you two" Her mother cried out as Jangjun's mother held Sunmi's mom up
Inside, Sunmi felt like she was burning, the new inhabitant was beating her up from the inside, banging to get out, and all Sunmi could do was just deal with it.
—— PRESENT TIME
Sooyoung woke up from her slumber as she shot up from her bed, breathing heavily and her chest raised up and down.
It felt like she was drowned, her throat felt tight and she dry heaved for anything to come out, but nothing did.
Her nose burned as if she snorted up water, and she balled up in her bed, holding knees up to her chest, she let all this pass over.
She wasn't used to sharing most of her body with Yves, and it was something she needed to get used to.
After 20 minutes, the drowning feeling was gone and she weakly pushed the button to call over the nurses to her room, and in a matter of seconds, multiple nurses were in the room including the head doctor.
They were all relieved to see that Sooyoung's heat had subsided and she was fully merged with Yves.
They told her the drowning feeling was normal, since she was mainly submerged in water for most of her heat.
Yves had been quiet ever since the last time Sooyoung had spoken to her, and it worried her.
Getting up from the bed, she walked to the bathroom, going to shower before her parents came to see her.
Looking in the mirror, she didn't see much of a difference in her appearance, other than her body looked a little bit more curvier, her eyes were a much lighter brown, and her hair that usually reached the mid point of her back had reached her butt.
Her body matured to what a siren is suppose to look like, which is usually tall, hourglass figure, long hair, and piercing eyes that can attract anyone from afar.
Sooyoung still looked like herself, but she wasn't complaining at all, at least she didn't wake up looking like a completely different person.
Getting washed up, and dressed into regular clothes, she walked out of the bathroom and was engulfed into a hug by her mother.
"I was so worried! Thank god that you are awake now" Yaeji said as she kissed her daughter on her forehead
"Mom, you'll suffocate her" Donghan said as Sooyoung had pulled him in a hug as soon as she seen her brother
Donghan has been away for a couple weeks for work and Sooyoung missed him so much during that time, seeing him after all that has happened was what she needed.
"It looks like you merged with Yves nicely" Ten said as Sooyoung chuckled
"Yeah, I'm just glad it wasn't more than this" Sooyoung said hugging him softly
"You don't know how much Jaehyun misses you" Ten whispered to her, Sooyoung smiling once they pull away
The family helped her out of the hospital and Sooyoung was surprised to see the Sunmi and Seonghwa were home.
She was glad to be around all of them, but yet she still thought about what Yves had told her.
The fact that Yves could still feel Seoyun's siren around was even more concerning.
At the end of the night, her family had managed to not fight the entire night, maybe because they didn't want to stress Sooyoung out, and they all retired to their rooms.
But Sooyoung and Donghan had sneaked out, wanting to catch up from these past few weeks.
They walked along the trail that led to the lake, the lake that Seoyun was found.
"I haven't been here since what happened, it feels pretty unsettling to say the least, why would you want to be here?" Donghan said as Sooyoung only shrugged her shoulders
"I want to see if Yves will be able to sense Luna here, since she hasn't spoke to me since I woke up" she said lowly
"What?!"
"Do you think Seoyun really died?" Sooyoung asked, turning to her brother who just stayed quiet for a moment
"No, I don't"
"Good thing that we're on the same page, because too many weird things have been happening to not think that, especially my unexpected heat" Sooyoung said as Donghan raised an eyebrow at her
"Yves told me Luna gave her the rose essence, which cannot be possible if Seoyun is dead" Sooyoung said as they both reached the lake, whos deep waters glistened under the moon light
"It may sound weird but I think I seen Seoyun....maybe it was because I was drunk or high off a lot of essence but I know what I seen" Donghan said as they sat down on the grass
"If it's not one thing, it's another; maybe the gods don't want to live a normal life huh?" Sooyoung said as she laid down onto the grass next to her brother
"Maybe Seoyun is trying to tell you something"
"Maybe Seoyun just wants something from me"
