It's been a week since Austin and I talked last. Even though I wasn't sober I could still remember every word said.
"Are you sure your feeling up to a festival?" Scooter asked, looking concerned. I sighed and nodded.
"It's probably best to get my mind off things" I said quietly.
"Alright then" he sighed and opened the door. We hopped out and begun making our way in. I liked festivals. Usually we could go to these festivals without having to worry about security because everyone was either there and on drugs or they didn't really care about celebrities being there cause they just wanted to party with us.
I made my way to the vip section, and started listening to some music. This week has been an extremely hard week for me, everything with Austin and also Malcolms passing. I contemplated on texting Austin, because I knew how close he was with Malcolm, but I never did it. I didn't want to speak to him. I was hurt.
After a few drinks and some upcoming bands I was ready to leave, I wasn't really feeling the whole scene anymore. But then, Austin walked onto the stage. I watched him as he took a seat.

I watched him sit there and play guitar and sing a slow song. I hadn't heard of it before, but he also hadn't ever performed it. I've never seen him look so, vulnerable. He hadn't noticed me standing there, until now. He looked up at me and stayed seated.
"Um- so this next song" he said, he was obviously nervous. I rested my arms on the side of the stage and then rested my head on my arms. "This next song I wrote, about a week ago, and Uh- it's gonna be on my new album, Beerbongs and bentlys" he said and the crowd cheered.
"I wrote it for, someone very special to me, so let me know what y'all think of it" he said "it's called Stay"
(Ignore his words in the beginning and replace them with what was written)

About half way through the song, I walked over to the stairs on the side of the stage and waited for it to finish. Once he was ending the song I walked onto the stage next to him and everyone cheered. He stood up and set his guitar down. I didn't say anything. I grabbed the microphone that he had set up.
"This song will be on my next album" I said into the mic, Austin staring directly at me. And stared right back at him.
"And I wrote it, for someone- very special to me" I said sarcastically, copying what Austin had said. He moved to the side of the stage where I had been standing earlier.

Once I finished the song, I set the mic back down on the stand and the crowd cheered. I walked right past Austin and down the stairs.
"Ariana wait" he said and followed me. I continued walking towards the car and he just continued to follow.
"Please wait" he said, clearly out of breath. "Ariana, I love you" he said. I stopped walking and turned around.
"You what?" I said confused and walked towards him.
"Yeah, I do" he said, he rested his hands on his knees and he was panting.
"You know if you didn't smoke so much you wouldn't be out of breath right now" I told him, stopping a foot away from him and crossing my arms. He caught his breath and stood up straight.
"I need you back" he said. I rolled my eyes and looked around. "Please Ariana, I'm losing my mind without you" he said, taking a step closer.
"You cheated on me" I said and looked him in the eyes.
"No, baby no" he said and placed a hand on my cheek. "I only said that because I was mad and I wanted to piss you off" he said. I rolled my eyes and looked past him once again. But this time, to see Demi running up to us. Demi, who I thought was my friend.
"Well, someone's here for you" I said raising my eyebrows. He turned and looked at her.
"Oh my god" he mumbled and rolled his eyes.
"Austin!" She said, running up to us. She engulfed him in a hug, he didn't hug back, he just looked at me.
"I heard your song, and I love it, I'm not mad at you anymore" she said, smiling big and kissing his cheek.
"Demi the song wasn't-" he started, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Oh, hi Ariana" she said with a smile. I gave her a fake smile and waved my fingers.
"So I see you met Austin? He's my boyfriend" she said pointing at him and smiling big. She sounded so excited.
"Have I- god Demi, you're an idiot" I mumbled and walked away.
"Demi were not dating" Austin yelled at her, frustratedly. He ran back up to me and walked with me. We walked out to the cars and I saw a really nice car.
"Is this yours?" I asked.
"Yeah" Austin smiled, "after the other one got totaled, I went out and got a better one" he said rubbing his hand along the side of it. "$450,000" he said, still smiling proudly at himself.
"It's a shame it has a scratch on it" I said.
"What? Where?" He asked nervously looking at it. I pulled out me car key and ran in along the side and back of the car.
"Right there" I smiled at him and walked away. I heard him let out a loud groan but then he continued to follow me. I got to my car and opened the door. He quickly closed the door and stood in front of me, so my back was against it.
"You just don't get the hint do you?" I said.
"Okay, I lied to you, yes I cheated, yes I made a bet, and I know I fucked up but I need another chance" he said desperately.
"You're pathetic" I said and rolled my eyes. I crossed my arms and looked up at him.
"I know what the issue is here" he said. I raised an eyebrow.
"You don't like the nice guy attitude, and I'm being nice, I'm like, desperate, and you hate it" he said. I rolled my eyes and turned back towards my car. He grabbed my shoulder and pinned it to the car. I looked up at him and he looked back at me.
"I'm coming over tonight at 6, be ready to go out" he demanded.
"Austin I'm not going anywhere with you" I mumbled.
"Yes you are, tonight- at six" he said. I rolled my eyes and turned to my car.
"We'll see"
