19. Your ex talks to you -Niall

Niall: You and Niall had just ordered your food at Nando's. He excuses himself to take a quick trip to the bathroom. While you are sitting at your table looking at your phone, a boy walks over to your table. 

"Y/N?" The boys asks. The voice sounds so familiar, but you can't think of who the person is. You finally look up and it's your ex. The boy you dated before Niall, the boy who broke your heart. 

"Hey." You say nervously. You aren't actually sure what to say. You don't want to talk to him. 

"What's up?" He asks you, not seeing that you don't want to talk. 

"Nothing much. Just getting some lunch." You say with a slight smile. 

"Oh, yeah. Duh." He says with a chuckle. "Y/N, I've been meaning to talk to you. I've just never build up the courage to do so. I was so stupid to let you go, and I really want to start over with you. Y/N, I still love you." Your heart sinks to your stomach. You cannot believe what you just heard, and to make it worse, Niall just walked over to the table. 

"What's going on?" Niall asks with a raise eyebrow. You quickly stand up and look from Niall to your ex. "Um Niall this is y/exname, and y/exname this is Niall, my boyfriend." Niall's eyes widen. You have told him stories about your ex, and he knows that he broke your heart. Niall swore that if he ever meet your ex he would beat him into oblivion. 

"Oh. Hey." Niall says while rolling his beautiful blue eyes. 

"Hi." Your ex awkwardly says. 

"I hate to be rude, but my girlfriend and I are going to be eating lunch. And I just want to let you know that she is mine, my girlfriend. We are one. We love each other, and I had to pick up the broken pieces of her heart that you left. She obviously doesn't want to be with you." Niall says. You were shocked that Niall didn't punch your ex, you thought he deserved it. But you were proud of Niall for sticking up for you and helping you out.
